why? The Academy is actually considering the possibility of taking his Oscar away.
Until somebody else more reputable than the NY Post (LOL) corroborates this, this is nothing more than something made up by that messy tabloid trash.
ReplyMarch 28, 2022 at 1:41 am #1204884931All the over-the-top pearl-clutching going around about this (admittedly) very cringe moment is really truly something else. 😩
ReplyMarch 28, 2022 at 12:55 am #1204884865The moderators should delete this post, it’s ridiculous.
First reported no less by a Rupert Murdoch-owned propaganda fodder and their usual made up “sources”. Anything written by the New York freaking Post should not ever be taken seriously.
ReplyOctober 28, 2021 at 8:57 am #1204544748Is that just on Sky?
I’m not sure, but some of the more recent HBO/Sky co-productions actually premiered on HBO a day before it first aired on Sky in the UK. So here’s hoping it’s the same case here.
October 28, 2021 at 7:45 am #1204544591All 4 episodes of Landscapers will be out at once on December 7, one day after the SAG Awards nominations balloting begins.
October 16, 2021 at 3:56 pm #1204522170She was probably 2nd. What I remember more were people trying to suggest that voters were already over her and she might not even be nominated, lol (or at least that Glenn would be ahead of her this time, lmao).
You’re remembering correctly. That Trump person once again lying through their teeth. 💀
October 10, 2021 at 12:20 am #1204511480Wrong answer. Seyfried was the frontrunner before the precursors began and lead the Golden Globes odds. In fact most people believed the race to be Close vs Seyfried vs Youn (who was predicted to take Critics Choice and SAG). Again this is before the precursors took place. After the BAFTA snub and critics choice loss, nobody really predicted Colman to win.
And after not winning anything and never being the odds-on favorite, she probably ended up in the end receiving the most votes, after Youn.
Imagine if she actually campaigns even a little bit. 😈
October 9, 2021 at 11:47 pm #1204511456Lol, people stanning Colman is so 2020. I remember these forums excaclty a year ago saying how she was going to sweep for The Father. She didn’t even win a single precursor.
When The Father premiered in Sundance way back on January 2020, a lot of people right after were saying that the movie is probably a Hopkins-only vehicle, and that Colman could maybe coattail along. It was even noted and repeated all season long by different loud users that her role was not showy enough to win her a second Oscar soon after her first. So yeah, there’s no need to blatantly lie. 🤣
September 20, 2021 at 6:37 am #1204474290Given Corrin not winning for one of the most buzzed about breakthroughs or Rodriguez not having a historical win (which people are likely to get even more upset about considering how white the overall acting Emmy winners were), or even the notion of Moss being a more deserving winner that some will feel, is it possible that Colman’s Emmy win sparks some kind of backlash against her?
Not this again. So I guess this will now be said to put doubt in a nomination or win every time anytime she’s in contention. 🤣
Fr though, people who had a vested interest in this particular race will not care about this in a day or two (if they haven’t gotten already over it). Fans of Corrin’s know her career is only really just starting out (she’s now a Movie Stah!) and although a lot of people were rooting for MJ Rodriguez and that historic win, I don’t think a good number of them actually watched Pose to see the great performance that she gave.
September 19, 2021 at 8:23 pm #1204473053Lol, so much for that ColMaN fAtiGUe!!!
Queen of doing the least campaigning and still winning her two big awards not being the odds-on favorite. ❤️
September 10, 2021 at 5:54 am #1204448101Yeah, I think we’re headed towards a Stewart Vs. Chastain race.
The movie just needed to not be a total failure, and be a fun and easy watch. And with Scenes From a Marriage coming up as well, you know Successica will be anywhere and everywhere and campaign like nobody else. 😍
September 6, 2021 at 6:01 pm #1204441645It’s a bit of a whiplash to see multiple reviews with headlines of “Olivia Colman is extraordinary / mesmerising / utterly magnetic, and the likes of THR and Deadline saying she’s a slam dunk to be in the Oscar race, only to come here to read comments being low on her chances lol. But I guess that’s GD for you. Also people can like more than one actress performance without it being a dismissal of the others. Clearly we have multiple great performances from Stewart, Colman, Cruz etc. That should be celebrated.
Lol, didn’t you know that only one actress at a time can get rave reviews!?
Nobody is really seriously denying that Stewart is the early favorite, and we could definitely be headed towards an awards season where she just wins everything. But the multiple posts from the same predictable users here that keep parroting that Colman’s personal reviews are just “good”, and that she maybe will make it in only as a name-check, are being petty and disingenuous as hell.
September 3, 2021 at 2:25 pm #1204434775Yes, only ten reviews so far, but The Lost Daughter debuts with 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.
September 3, 2021 at 1:46 pm #1204434664Olivia still very much in the game
The reviews in general that are just coming out are looking very good.
So much to those people saying that the movie is for sure out and done because of Letterboxd and a couple of tweets.
I know a certain fanbase is quietly seething.
September 2, 2021 at 10:13 pm #1204432302Ok this guys review aligns with the critics often. https://twitter.com/OasisAwais/status/1433553492556222466 I guess Lost Daughter is not happening.

Well at least he thinks Colman is terrific, and that the acting from everybody is really good.
So maybe not an across the board contender, but certainly could still be in play for an acting nom or two.
