Just finished The Flight Attendant and boy is it not a comedy. Kudos to Cuoco who was dazzling, but that show has fewer funny – or even light – moments than Succession. Even You, which TFA reminded me of, is funnier and classified a drama.
I felt the same way! There were funny moments. Kind of like how Killing Eve and Barry are funny in moments.
I think it could get moved to Drama at the Emmys

He’ll need another redemption story to get back in the industry’s good graces.

You might be right, but I think the changing Oscar voters will be more receptive to PYW than years past. The younger/film twitter/letterboxd coalition is the fastest growing group. Even if she is nominated, she’ll have to settle for runner-up.

ReplyJanuary 14, 2021 at 10:21 am #1203983413I wish more people would talk about Jingle Jangle seriously for Costumes and Production Design as well as Tiger Tail for Cinematography. Those deserve a shout out.
I’m sick of higher profile movies with good crafts overshadow some really great achievements, even if that movie doesn’t have a chance in the picture, director, acting, writing races.
