Which means the 1 is already secure else they would have released today or earlier.
My thoughts exactly! They are pretty confident about the number 1.
I wonder if they’re going to release two more remixes then? Sweeter and cooler maybe lol
May 26, 2021 at 3:31 pm #1204274335TOTC is predicting Butter at #1 when including website sales. Olivia has website sales too but I don’t think they’ll be massive like ours.
Yes, but she doesn’t have physicals for her single, only for the album. I really doubt she could sell more than like 10k digital copies of g4u.
And look, I always think it’s better to take any prediction with a grain of salt, but if it’s from TOTC? Just ignore it lol. But really, there’s absolutely no reason to panic! They (and we) got this number 1 in the bag, babes.
May 24, 2021 at 11:12 am #1204269161What performances do we have this week, i’m lost on the schedule
Performances:
5/26 A Late Show with Stephen at 12:35PM KST
5/28 GMA Summer Concert at 8:00PM KST
But they also have:
5/26 The BTS Meal
5/27 HBO Max Friends: Reunion
But I’m probably missing something! lol There’s just a lot going on.
May 24, 2021 at 10:57 am #1204269126Spotify is really pissing me off lol it’s true we don’t know exactly what contributes to our high rate of filtering but it’s just very suspicious. The fact that they’re taking so long to update the numbers everyday since Butter dropped just makes me even more paranoid.
Rant aside, I’m still really happy about how well we’ve been doing, especially in asian countries. Streams in the US usually drop during the weekend so hopefully we’ll rise again today. We also have more promo coming this week so fingers crossed!
Edit: forgot to mention but the BBMAS performance was so good! I’ve been rewatching it nonstop since last night. It’s really great to have Yoongi back.
May 23, 2021 at 6:02 pm #1204268087WAP was bigger competition than I thought. WAP: 65M streams, 18.7M Radio, 25k digitals Dynamite: 33.9 streams, 11.6M Radio, 265k digitals, 35k physicals
Yep, WAP was a MOMENT. I’m still so proud of the guys (and ARMYS too) for the fact that not only did Dynamite debuted at 1 but it actually stayed there for 2 weeks. It was really, really impressive. This is why I’m feeling pretty chill about our chances now, even though we have some competition.
May 23, 2021 at 2:06 pm #1204267860I can bring up multiple tweets calling her an industry plant with over 1k likes but let us not get into that. Also they are simply trying to introduce a new artist to other markets. Infact during album bombs, Ariana, jb, Drake all have such playlisting. She holds multiple records of highest streaming numbers..she is not getting any out of the world promo…there is a site where you can check overall playlist reach and both have almost same reach. They are well known in Asia, some increase in playlisting will not increase streams… people will play bts on their own. That said I agree, playlisting should stop altogether because it is not a fair or transparent practice.
Actually let’s get into that so we can end this discussion, please. Babe, that’s stan twitter. Being called an industry plant over there is really the best one can hope for. In this forum though, at no point we said that or insulted Olivia in any way. Now let’s just move on.
May 23, 2021 at 1:33 pm #1204267827Pretty good second day numbers as well! Really wish Spotify wasn’t taking this long to update us though.
“Butter” — Spotify
🌍 Global: #2. (=) — 8,858,814 plays
🇺🇸 US: #12.(-2) — 1,483,641 plays https://t.co/aZmc6Mik7w— BTS Charts (@btschartdata) May 23, 2021
Also, they did 400k streams in Japan! I’m so impressed.
May 23, 2021 at 1:26 pm #1204267812These things are pretty common for new artists. Also she did not get much playlisting for g4u and as the streams rose, she rose on playlists. Teams will push new artists a lot more than established ones. Billie also got similar promo before her debut…and Olivia actually broke a lot of Spotify records with drivers license…so expecting her to help boom the app is ok. Sorry if I come off as defensive but I have seen way too many people call her an industry plant today with no clue what it means. There is no need to speculate about someone who is just starting her career..also butter is locked for bb hot 100 no 1 and her team isn’t trying to sabotage it by pushing remixes for G4u or anything. Idk why you people think her team would have tried to block butter on global Spotify…she has been on top of that chart for days so why would they specifically try to block another song.
Who said this? We just think it’s weird how hard she’s being pushed in places where she’s not as big as BTS. Like someone already pointed out, it makes sense they’re favoring her in the US and other english-speaking countries, but in India or Korea? Come on now.
And to be quite honest, it kind of pisses me off how people act like we’re being super disrespectful when we never said anything about her as a person or even as an artist. Meanwhile, her fans are saying just the nastiest things everytime BTS are brought up.
May 23, 2021 at 1:18 pm #12042677901. 1989 2. Red 3. Folklore 4. Evermore/lover 6. Reputation 7. Speak now –BARRIER– 8. Fearless 9. Debut Her first 2 albums were mediocre at best.
Okay i respect your opinion but evermore is leagues above Lover. Like come on now.
May 23, 2021 at 1:15 pm #1204267781At this point I don’t even know if we should be mad at Columbia Records or Interscope. It’s not just their “american” releases, even Deja Vu was favored than Film Out in Spotify Japan. It doesn’t add up I don’t mean to sound mean, but it’s hard not to feel some type of way . . .
I don’t think it’s mean at all to be annoyed by this. It just doesn’t make sense. The demand for BTS in Japan and other asian countries is much much higher. They should be favored.
May 23, 2021 at 1:13 pm #1204267772So so happy with the numbers we got so far. Can you believe Butter + the instrumental version got more streams than the entirety of the Persona EP? Their growth is just INSANE. No doubt in my mind they are going to obliterate the record for their biggest streaming week lol
And yes, of course good 4 u is doing very well and congrats to her et cetera (and specially to her team because the way they’re pushing this song in Asian countries is…) but this is by no means a repeat of the Dynamite x WAP race. We got this number 1 in the bag, babes. I’m just not sure we can stay there for week 2, but I guess we’ll cross that bridge when it comes to it.
May 22, 2021 at 1:18 pm #1204266582This just makes it increasingly obvious that R/SOTY will continue matching unless a song isn’t nominated in one of the two categories.
Goes to show how lazy voters are.
ReplyMay 22, 2021 at 1:12 pm #1204266578I’m so happy we did it! If we keep this up I’m sure we can go number one on Global Spotify this week.
Butters India and Mexico gain. Chile—
Man, both India and Mexico really deserves some tour dates when things get better and they start doing concerts again.
May 21, 2021 at 1:40 pm #1204265243Not Butter being already predicted to debut at number one on digital song sales when we didn’t use any of the money from the funds yet lmao
May 21, 2021 at 12:59 pm #1204265162Also ARMYs are only now learning how to properly stream on AM. I feel like we’re doing better over there but it’s definetely not our strongest platform and I really don’t see that changing anytime soon. Both Youtube and Spotify numbers seem really promising though and I saw a tweet saying the song’s selling like 20X more than other tracks so overall things are going really well so far.
