Worst In Memoriam Omissions ever
The one that comes to mind, because the industry may have had a part in it (indirectly), is Brad RenAtypical
Not the Oscars, but the Emmys In Memoriam this year didn't include Olivia de Havilland, who had enough television credits in her long career to merit inclusion there.

Popular films if they were directed by different directors
I’m just curious as to why you’d choose Joel Schumacher for THE COLOR PURPLE? The others are faJacob Boe
Okay, some of these suggestions are so stupid. A lot of these movies already had brilliant direction, there is no need to change them. A popular movie that actually would have been better with a different director is The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lio

What Oscar snubs and surprises did you call?
Not exactly calling it but I had a huge gut feeling that JLo wouldn’t make it since October but IMickmack
I called for Marina De Tavira last year and I do also remember that I call Javier Bardem for beautiful and tommy lee jones for in The Valley of elah. and I was sure that Marian Cotillard would win after she won BAFTA. [/quote

If Renee and Catherine were both nominated as Lead in Chicago
...why would Kidman go down to Supporting if CZJ were to go Lead..?
I don't see why Chicago would have lost. Was an acting win so necessary for a movie to win Best Picture back then? And Renee beat Catherine at the Globes, so I don't see why she'd have won over her. Renee had the more material, the bigger performance

If Parasite did not exist, what movie would win Best Picture?
Director would have gone to Sam Mendes, but both picture and original screenplay to Once Upon a Timem844
Birdman is the only movie in the last few decades to win the Oscar for Best Picture without an Editing Oscar nomination. However, people excused Birdman by saying it's shot to look like a "one take" movie even though it had several cuts along the way

What if The Pianist had won Best Picture over Chicago?
Weinstein wasn't a big supporter of Chicago. He thought The Hours and Gangs of New York were his OscSean Phillips
I think the box office off Chicago would get the slew going. After all this is a business and money talks.

Which is worse: Green Book or Crash
I actually voted for CRASH. I still found myself at least finding GREEN BOOK watchable (probably wrcamp11
This should not even be a question Green Book is a classic. Moonlight or The Shape of Water should be up against Crash because they were both awful.
