What a freaking RIDE this episode was. That chase scene is one of the best ones I’ve ever seen. Still in shock about how good this was.

ReplyApril 12, 2022 at 7:22 am #1204914227I guess I also just fundamentally disagree with your point. As a fellow gay I want queer characters that run the full range of the human spectrum. No one has a problem with anti-heroes when they are male or straight. Gay people can be terrible and twisted and gloriously uninhibited just like everyone else. Do you really only want to see queer characters that are nice? It’s fiction – spice up your life a little.
Being queer myself I also agree with this. Some of their arguments are very problematic. Art is meant to explore all types of characters and relationships and it’s a bad idea to take fiction too seriously and to censor it out of fear.
April 11, 2022 at 3:46 pm #1204913212I think people put too much stock into characters and series – particularly those with LGBTQ+ characters at the centre. Killing Eve isn’t the show to have a happy ending for two lesbian characters. There are other shows that should be made for that.
We can’t always be on the safe and saint side when it comes to queer love. Yes, we also need to explore the other side and see some fucked up people still getting their happy ending because love is unpredictable and complicated and not everything has to be some sort of example of how we should live our lives.
April 10, 2022 at 5:40 am #1204910920I mean Killing Eve was never meant to be realistic or moralistic. Them ending together would have made more sense considering the vibe of the show and how twisted they both are. It was supposed to allow and even celebrate dark and complicated relationships. Using the lazy and tired ‘bury your gays’ trope was not cute and Jennings got it right in the books by letting them have their relationship however fucked up it was.
At least they could have gone down together but no, let’s kill just one and ruin the other one for life.
Happy they finally got their proper kiss though
April 2, 2022 at 4:08 am #1204893928LMAO get over yourself. You’re a nobody and have no insight about whether he will be nominated again. It wasn’t his stans but his peers in the industry that gave him two standing ovations (when he won and again after his speech), some even rushed over to console him. However, they will stay quiet for now until the heat dies down. Even Mel Gibson was nominated again and even on Will’s worst day, he is 100x the man Gibson is and always will be. He made one mistake in a 30 year career, and apologized right away and even resigned from the academy. We love nothing more than a redemption arc and it’s coming. The public is already on his side saying this outrage is over-the-top and others have gotten away with worse, and it didn’t even take a week🤣 In a year, he’ll become a hero and get a standing ovation at whatever big event he decides to show up at. I know I will be first in line to watch I Am Legend 2 and it will be a blockbuster and he’ll be back. You think casual fans in China or Japan give a rat’s ass about Will slapping Chris? Nobody will be upset about this a year from now when they’re already sick of it and back on his side within a week. Keep dreaming though.
And who are you?? Sit down, you annoying stan. No one should have to endure another season of seeing his smug face so soon.
ReplyApril 2, 2022 at 2:16 am #1204893873We don’t know that. Emancipation sounds baity…
What??? Who would want another season with this narcissistic, egocentric and nasty person around except for his brainwashed stans? No way he will get nominated for this.

ReplyMarch 31, 2022 at 11:06 am #1204891599If you wanna come on here and air out wills alleged laundry. Make sure you keep the same energy for all past winners who had allegations against them. Especially sean penn, brad pitt, ect. And also, people share things in their memoirs to express what they’ve done and been through and how they grew ect. You coming on here to destroy his character when numerous white actors have done way worse is very telling. Also TMZ reported today that the academy basically either lied about asking will to leave or it isnt as simple as we think it was. And once again, MANY people believe will gave the best performance and loved his movie. So please cut the bull.
I don’t recall any of them going on that stage and smacking people around. Like String Cheese Theory said their criminal offences have been dealt with by the proper channels like the court system. It didn’t happen at events organized by AMPAS where everyone’s safety should be guaranteed.
You’re still here defending Smith because you’re viewing everything through stan goggles but the real victim is Chris Rock. He should have been the one to receive support from his peers, instead it was given to the abuser. They let him stay, enjoy the show, give his acceptance speech and receive a standing ovation. Then he got to dance around at the after party. Sickening.
March 31, 2022 at 6:58 am #1204891199The Academy have stated he was asked to leave and refused…either they didn’t ask very severely or his above the rules entitlement stands out…
He did say he’s like the best actor in the universe or something like that…so his ego has always been through the roof. The fact that he thinks he’s above any rules or regulations is not surprising. He also displayed abusive behavior towards one of his exes by smashing her windows and setting fire to all her belongings. Fortunately she left him after that because otherwise the next step would have most probably been physical violence. It just shows how confident he was no one would condemn him for this behavior if he had no problems with sharing this in his memoir.
Anyway, this is also the industry’s fault for wanting to reward careers more than performances. BuT iT wAs HiS tImE. It is what it is now.
ReplyMarch 30, 2022 at 12:50 pm #1204890354I think the current season is better than season 3 so far.
That’s because Eve and Villanelle weren’t separated as much. Their chemistry just makes everything better even with a nonsensical plot. But I’m still waiting on a proper kiss between these two and they wasted some great opportunities in this last episode.
March 28, 2022 at 3:48 pm #1204886705Certainly did not have Will Smith slapping someone on my bingo card 👀
