I don’t know what’s wrong with talking about an investigation concerning the Best Actress category in a topic about the Best Actress category?
Nothing wrong. I was referring to the trolls with the conspiracy theories who aren’t interested in a real investigation.

January 24, 2023 at 9:10 am #1205263315Some acknowledgement for out nominations hosts. They did great and didn’t butcher any names.
Forgot to say this earlier, but wasn’t it nice to have a live announcement of the nominations by two people who actually knew what they were doing? Extra credit to Allison Williams for her correct pronunciation of “Östlund”.

January 24, 2023 at 8:55 am #1205263195Ana is still the first Cuban to be nominated for a leading role at the Oscars and for playing Marilyn Monroe of all things. That’s pretty iconic.
January 24, 2023 at 6:36 am #1205261943But what Frances Fisher did is very icky. She knew exactly what would happen by calling certain contenders locks.
January 24, 2023 at 5:57 am #1205261184The Academy continues to show their ass. The fact that 4 women of color could’ve been nominated. I’m stunned.
Blame it on Frances Fisher who called both Deadwyler and Davis ‘LOCKS’. This is how snubs happen.

January 24, 2023 at 4:01 am #1205260348Made a last minute prediction from Eddie Redmayne in Supporting Actor to Woody Harrelson. I’m ready to flop in all my predictions now.

ReplyJanuary 19, 2023 at 8:51 am #1205253458Bless her Women Talking’s underperformance this season is tragic
I feel so sorry for her and everyone else who worked on this movie. I expected it to do so well at the beginning of this season 🥺
ReplyJanuary 19, 2023 at 8:06 am #1205253341Sorry but some of you are delulu about this top 3. De Armas was playing Monroe and she basically hit all precursors including AACTA and the London critics. Her being top 3 here was visible from space.
