I have to agree.
“Our” suggestions were not listened to. Which is not normal in this website, usually its a pretty democratic website in that sense.
I think the selection will be very generic and many low budget movies (even the ones that are in eligible movies for the Oscars) will be out of the equation. February 26, 2021 at 6:39 am #1204062587Besides Promising Young Woman and Nomadland, the movies that are leading the awards circuit are pretty boring movies: The Trial of Chicago 7 (has great dialogues, but the movie doesn’t go anywhere), Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom (my expectations were way specially because of Fences but the performances are great), One Night in Miami (meh).

But as far I am aware it was submitted as a Limited Series … so why are people draging Emily in Paris into this? Yes Emily’s nomination was wrong there was way too many better shows, that’s true. But they are not on the same category…
Still… Michaela Coel and I May Destroy should have been nominated, I do agree with that.
