Putting in comedy would honestly be worse than The Bear because it would insulting to the people involved for Peacock to do so. Why do comedic actors have to have shows in comedy whenever they do drama? Can’t they be taken seriously like everyone else?
The Academy should move both shows to Drama and everyone will be happy (I think)January 18, 2023 at 8:09 am #1205250534
I’m probably among the few who didn’t care about Cara and Amy but yes, it is such a jump. Can’t wait to see who they get for S4 lolJanuary 15, 2023 at 12:36 pm #1205244866
This happened to Til It Happens to You from The Hunting Ground that was nominated for an Oscar and won an Emmy for a special edit of the doc on TV. Idk if thats still allowed nor if there’s any contender who would qualify for such.
Thank you! I’m asking because I heard the rules changed but I didn’t find any source so was hoping to find some answers here. Just curious for future races, since you never know.January 15, 2023 at 12:14 pm #1205244824
Question: can a song that’s been submitted to the Oscars also be submitted for an Emmy? In cases where the song is for a movie/doc that was on TVJanuary 15, 2023 at 8:14 am #1205244313
Hulu really likes that logo structure lol. They did the same with OMITBJanuary 15, 2023 at 8:11 am #1205244296
I can see them doing this if Barry, Bear and Wednesday all end up nominated this year. There’s usually only one dramedy, I think the affect of all three at the same time would be too big to ignore.
I hope they do this so other equally deserving actual comedies can make it.January 12, 2023 at 6:23 am #1205238647
The Tell with all the Son of Sam game scenes should have been nominated! I love me some 70s and they had some gorgeous costumes on
All in all great nominations, although I am surprised by that Blood Origin nomination tooJanuary 12, 2023 at 6:15 am #1205238640
Ikr, I’m shook about these 2 snubs. Ig industry is truly done with ST. As of HotD, its awards run so far has been truly random & disappointing. The fact that Considine hasn’t been nominated anywhere is disgusting. At least bae Milly snatched CC and Emma got GG.
ST can still make it for its last season. SAG are very populist and have a Netflix bias and we know ST5 will make huge numbers and never missed till this year. I don’t think we can count the show out still.January 11, 2023 at 10:48 am #1205236916
Please, stop making excuses for Selena Gomez, if Jenna Ortega can enter, or Darren Criss can beat Anthony Hopkins, Antonio Banderas and Hugh Grant, or just this year alone, Taron Egerton got in over Colin Firth and Andrew Garfield, Gomez can make it perfectly fine, she just lacks the talent and the skills in a category that has become a blood bath. If her performance was close to the level of the performance of Ortega or Cuoco, she would have been nominated.
She was getting praised for her performance on WOWP at 16 so she definitely has it in her and she’s definitely not bad at all in the show. I don’t know why there is such an animosity towards her, it is honestly really weird.January 11, 2023 at 9:40 am #1205236469
I also think she is not on their level and while she is good and holds her own she can do better, so excited to see how she keeps improving and learning!January 11, 2023 at 9:10 am #1205236314
And yet they chose her and is doing great opposite two comedy legends.January 11, 2023 at 6:09 am #1205234877
This was only a matter of time and the next step for all award shows. Their bias for Netflix shows is gonna be interesting to witness now…January 10, 2023 at 11:56 am #1205230923
It will be interesting to see who wins comedy, Barry and The Bear do have the most showy episodes of the bunch, but TWL could just be stronger than s1 and win here, and also Wednesday is the bigger show.
It’s not like they are the comediest of comedies but If I had to guess probably BarryNot now
