August 31, 2022 at 10:43 am #1205060384Yeah, so my original comment was about the nominations, not the winner. Moreover, it was only about who out of the consensus six was the odd woman out. Anyway, you’re comparing this year’s race to others without a grain of salt, which is never a great idea as all years are different. The 2020 race was tumultuous, I concur. But guess what? The five nominees were still so obvious almost every single person got 100% in the category. Last year, there was a huge snub in Gaga, but it’s not like Cruz was absolutely impossible given she’d had buzz the whole year. So you’re point about lack of sustained buzz is just wrong, especially so in nominations.
… I think the only actress sure in the right track in contention for the Oscars Best Actress is Michelle Yeoh for Everything Everywhere All At Once, the only loud buzz for far (in all media)..
Olivia Colman for the Empire Of Light & Cate Blanchett for Tár are the second have stronger contenders because we’re seen the trailers of thier specific films they in it..
fans, critics and a few others had Oscars prediction charts wants Margot Robbie for Babylon and number one on their prediction charts but days passing by I seeing Robbie slowly sliding down on the charts because still we haven’t seen yet the trailer of the film Babylon..
and here’s the other 5 actresses still on the bubble and might get can attention or buzz if they hit some right amount of buzz or momentum.. 1. Emma Thompson for Good Luck, To You Leo Grande I her upwards in the prediction charts rising because the film itself is allowed to become a contention for the Oscars.. 2. Naomi Ackie for I Wanna Dance With Somebody.. Ackie is in other prediction charts in top 5 or Top 10 but still we didn’t see it the trailer is just a teaser poster.. 3. Danielle Deadwyler for Till.. Deadwyler same as Ackie are in top 5 or Top 10 for some people prediction charts the difference though we’ve seen the trailer of the film but my thoughts and same as the others it looks like might can get hurt of Deadwyler chance or get an Oscars buzz because the film itself looks have some flaws technically (it’s look like a Lifestyle/Hallmark’s vibe on with a flavor of cinema’s popcorn).. 4. Viola Davis for The Woman King.. my thoughts about this and have some feeling on it maybe this one might can surprise us until the Oscars nomination announcement.. we seen the trailer it’s look like an average mainstream film but I think there is chance about this film The Woman King some nods to the Oscars (at the beginning of the year was my bet to win even until now… to get at least a nomination).. 5. Ana De Armas for Blonde.. I know a huge controversy for this film specifically to De Armas ’cause the accent though kinda messy but her performance in the trailer was/is phenomenal.. De Armas transforming as Marilyn Monroe physically (but not vocally point) and plus only on Netflix not on the cinema theaters and a strong censorship for the audiences because it tackles a very sensitive topic of Monroe’s dark side storytelling of her life even it’s fictionalized it
August 31, 2022 at 6:17 am #1205060061Y’all let me clear this up for you. Yeoh, Robbie, and Colman are in Best Picture nominees. They’re safe. Ackie is in an Anthony McCarten movie. She’s safe. Blanchett and Deadwyler are the two that are competing for the last spot. And between those two, who is more likely? Exactly. I was hopeful for Deadwyler after Station Eleven, but the trailer for Till is not promising. It looks basic and is probably gonna receive okay reviews. And unlike a Judy or a Tammy Faye, it doesn’t look like it could get in anywhere else. Yeoh Robbie Colman Ackie Blanchett
No one safe specifically in the Best Actress category.. specially in previous years.. only Renée Zellweger for Judy secure her momentum until the Oscars
Oscars 2019 we all thought was Glenn Close finally win the Oscars Best Actress then it goes to Olivia Colman for The Favourite
Oscars 2021 was most rollercoaster ride was 2021 awards season.. Golden Globes drama goes to Andra Day for The United States Vs Billie Holiday and for comedy goes to Rosamund Pike for I Care A Lot; then Critics Choice & Independent Spirit goes to Carey Mulligan for Promising Young Woman (critics, I mean Gold Derby predicted to win); the SAG goes to Viola Davis for Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom; in BAFTA it goes to Frances McDormand for Nomadland to resulted won the Oscars Best Actress in the end..
Oscars 2022 no Best Picture nominees get in in Best Actress category.. no Rachel Zegler for West Side Story.. no Alana Haim for Licorice Pizza.. no Jennifer Lawrence for Don’t Look Up.. no Rooney Mara for Nightmare Alley.. instead the nominees are not Best Picture nominee’s films (Jessica Chastain for The Eyes Of Tammy Faye the winner, Kristen Stewart for Spencer, Penélope Cruz for Parallel Mothers, Nicole Kidman for Being The Ricardos & Olivia Colman for The Lost Daughter).. in Jessica Chastain case lost to Nicole Kidman for Being The Ricardos; snubbed nomination at BAFTA; no Independent Spirit nomination.. the wins for Jessica Chastain for her performance in The Eyes Of Tammy Faye are Critics Choice, SAG & Oscars same situation as Olivia Colman way back at the Oscars 2019 awards season
Oscars 2023 expect the unexpected, surprises and huge snub specifically here in the Oscars Best Actress category.. – Margot Robbie for Babylon might be a huge snub for her.. – Viola Davis for The Woman King might be a surprise nominations like Golden Globes/SAG/BAFTA/Oscars & same as Emma Thompson for Good Luck To You, Leo Grande… – might be missed some nominations are Naomi Ackie for I Wanna Dance With Somebody or Danielle Deadwyler for Till

April 22, 2022 at 8:40 am #1204927341She’s definitely lead, I would say she’s actually the only lead in the movie.
what I heard/watch somebody that might be Margot Robbie in Babylon possibly she’s going to as a supporting character like what she’s done in OUATIH & in Bombshell.. The only possible only lead is Diego Calva’s character named Manny Torres’ journey in old Hollywood themed movie..
not came from me.. from somewhere doing this expertise in predictions specifically the Oscars predictions charts
