It was always a weak frontrunner. It seemed to be undeniable merely because the other nominees were lacking.

Then CODA came with an insanely aggressive campaign (the cast went to the White House!) in the last minute and stole the moment.

No, what’s done is done. Regardless of what he did, they were the ones who decided to award him in the first place.

Like many here, I’m considering not watching the ceremony for the first time since I started following film awards.

I can no longer stand the annoying games, unfunny jokes and the overall rich people circlejerk. And just to know that eight categories will be announced via Twitter is a huge turn off.
