So its looking like The Two Popes isn’t happening (so far). Missed out on AFI Top 10 and NBR. I haven’t seen it… I’m sure its good/great… it just seems to have a boring subject matter that not very many people (outside of white male voters over the age of 60) would be interested in. The critics haven’t gone for it (yet) and I have a hard time seeing the new younger class of Academy voters who are woke, #timesup and more about inclusivity, diversity and feminism going for this… Especially when those same older voters would already go for The Irishman, Once Upon… or a Ford v Ferrari.

Not to brag but told you about Pacino. HFPA is snubbing him as well. Trust the tea.November 30, 2019 at 2:33 pm #1203209745
I loved this movie! I was kinda nervous about seeing it despite the praise because I wasn’t really a fan of The Last Jedi. Ana de Armas was phenomenal and I would love to see her get in at the Globes at least. Is she considered a lead or supporting?
She’s considered a lead.November 30, 2019 at 1:43 pm #1203209680

Pesci feels way more likely to be snubbed. Pacino is a bigger name with a bigger role and he’s gotten the best notices of the three.
There’s tea HFPA doesn’t love Pacino as much as Pesci. They kind of set the tone so he’s off to a bad start if he gets snubbed.November 28, 2019 at 1:53 pm #1203207203
Honestly y’all, out of the three major roles in The Irishman I think Pacino is my least favorite even though he was still amazing and nomination worthy. I think Pesci would be much more deserving of a nomination. There’s no way De Niro misses for this as well, he’s the heart of the film and carries the entire ending which essentially made the film as great as it was.
Yeah, one of them is probably getting snubbed. My bet is on Pacino as well.November 21, 2019 at 2:22 pm #1203195654
