if you guys had to limit 10 names for the 4 acting categories what would you guys sayJanuary 25, 2022 at 7:15 am #1204748088
honestly, Zegler is giving me Keira Knightley P&P vibes. Except Zegler has the globe.November 3, 2021 at 4:53 pm #1204555684
Emma Watson can act, but has a limited range. She was great in TPOBAW, The Bling Ring, and Colonia.
Greta Gerwig, while is a great director. She is one of the best actresses in Hollywood at the moment
I like Sophie Okenedo, but her oscar nom was undeserved
I agree with all of the people who said Watts>Stone in Birdman. Watts gave the best performance in the movie
Anne Hathaway’s oscar is deserved. I actually really love that performance
Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightley deserved the win for The Imititon Game
Keira Knightley CAN ACT. Deserved additional noms for Official Secrets, Atonement, Anna Karenina, Collette. She was also great in The Duchess (where Fiennes deserved a nom)October 31, 2021 at 11:27 am #1204549723
Hathaway deserved her oscar win out of the category. but if Watts would have been supporting for The Impossible, she should have won. I also prefer Barks (in Les Mis) and Maggie Smith (BEMH).
also JLaw should have won for The Hunger Games. Even though I do like SLP quite a bitOctober 3, 2021 at 2:46 pm #1204500338
I got to see a early screening for The Tender Bar a couple of months ago. It was pretty crappy, but it obvoiusly wasn’t done. The cast is really good though. Affleck HAS the baitest part and could easily get nominated, but after they snubbed him last year, I could easily see him getting snubbed. Lily Rabe I thought did the best job, would love for her to get nominatedOctober 2, 2021 at 2:11 pm #1204498561
He was actually very good in Bridgerton. Pheobe was too, reminded me of a young Keira Knightley, but not Pride and Prejudice levelSeptember 29, 2021 at 6:51 pm #1204493371
To all the people saying Holland can’t act. He was pretty incredible in the The Impossible.
and then to the people saying Rachel Zegler will flop. Girl is HELLA talented. Naomi Scott hasn’t gotten the opportunities that Zegler has gotten yet. Scott is also really talented. The verdict is still out on her.
another person I would have loved to see on the list is Phillipa SooSeptember 18, 2021 at 11:51 am #1204467894
If he doesn’t win next season. What are the emmys forSeptember 16, 2021 at 5:55 pm #1204464460
JLAW in SLP
should habe been
JLAW in the Hunger Games
(I still would have given it to Riva, Watts, or Chastain, but it makes me feel better)September 16, 2021 at 5:51 pm #1204464456
The Jlaw haters still mad nearly 10 years later! LMAO. Her Oscar was rightfully deserved. People forget she was only 21 years old holding her own in scenes with Bob De Niro, chewing scene after scene against Cooper. She killed it. Chastain was indeed excellent, but they picked the right one that year.
Agree. I personally love Chastain, Watts, and Riva more than Lawrence in SLP. I haven’t personally Quvenzhane’s performance or that movie. I also think Keira Knightley is absoutley magnetic in Anna Karenina. But if they gave it to her for The Hunger Games instead of SLP I would have actually been happy. Her performances in those movies are very good. It actually reminds me of her Winter’s Bones days. I feel like she is a much better subtle actressSeptember 1, 2021 at 6:23 pm #1204429703
i saw Cinderella, and Cabello isn’t even that bad. There are just some moments where she has some Emma Watson autotune moments, buts shes okay. Billy Porter and Idina Menzel are fantastic thoughAugust 29, 2021 at 8:43 am #1204422566
My friend just got invited to WSS test screening. If they tell me anything, i’ll tell you guysAugust 24, 2021 at 7:05 pm #1204414386
These shows are a bit my guilty pleasures but
in the last episode of Never Have I Ever, Poorna Jaganathan and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan are phenemonal.
Once Upon A Time: Rebecca Mader is so great on this show but the scene where Robert Caryle is on his deathbed and Emilie De Ravin lost her memories are some great work. Another scene I love is Jamie Chung’s scene where she is going to confess her feelings but realizes its two later and her walking away from that.
Glee: As much as I have conflicting feelings about this show. There were little moments where the actors go beyond the script and do some powerful actingNot now
