Unfortunately I agree. It’s a wonderful flim but as you said, it’s small and didn’t have the push it needed. I think the recognition for Mescal was the right decision.

I liked her performance in Babylon but I agree. In a way I hate that she took the Quinn role. I think she’s unconsciously falling back on that type of character and it’s holding her back.

Expect Angelina has already won a case in Luxembourg after he tried saying she didn’t pay a dollar for the winery shares he gave her back in 2013. Sounds more like Brad is the Amber in this situation in regards of the truth trickling out in court because they couldn’t support their claims.

That being said, I didn’t like it as much as I expected too. I LOVED the script but it was rough finishing the last leg. I personally think Chazelle’s writing is weaker then his other talents and this unfortunately highlighted it. I am dying to know his thought process behind the ending because I didn’t like any of it lol.

Brad and Margot were great as usual and props to Diego for holding his own. I hope we see more of him in the future. Tobey’s character was a great edition as well and I am surprised he wasn’t really mentioned in the reviews I saw. Still hoping it can pull a BP nomination and a decent box office run.

For anyone who has read the script and watched the movie, which one did you like better? Anything you would have done differently?

I loved this script but it sounds like it may not have translated well on screen. I am eagerly waiting for that embargo to be lifted. What an exciting moment for Diego. I cant help but to  root for the underdog!

Loved Bulter’s performances but I disliked the movie as well. I am going to wait to see how the SAG and BAFTA go before formally fitting it into a category.

Just a quick correction about Pitt. It came up in the divorce. It’s the reason he had supervised visitations for so long. The divorce papers were sealed so no one knew the details. The FBI never said he was innocent but that they decided not to charge him. The report said Jolie and kids werent being that  forthcoming in their interviews. The agents wanted to charge him but it changed at the attonery’s office. It would have been a gamble to charge him on federal charges and have her completely shut down so it makes sense. From the video I saw it’s only coming up now because he tried to attach to an NDA about the incident to the deal. Not very smart but you live and learn.

He’s been on my list for awhile since I read the script but now I am not so sure. It’s actually the reason why I finally made an account lol. I think I miscalculated Jolie’s own star power. Unfortunately I think SAG and the academy will play it safe. The winery case came at a poor time* because I don’t think we will see Brad in a other meaty role like this.

*(Please note that I am not trying to say allegations should never be bought to public, I am strictly referring to the timing being bad for a possible nomination)
