I dunno, the passion could pull her through but this race is probably still Linney v. Aniston. It’s definitely possible, though.July 29, 2020 at 8:49 pm #1203614124
Writing’s on the Wall. The others are mostly trash.July 28, 2020 at 5:03 pm #1203610591
Could Dr. Manhattan shock us all in the Supporting Actor race?July 28, 2020 at 12:41 pm #1203609310
So glad for What We Do in the Shadows. It totally deserved all of its nominations, and I knew people were underestimating it.July 26, 2020 at 9:04 pm #1203604853
Right now, I’m thinking Fiona wins four Grammys: AOTY, Alternative Album, Rock Song, and Rock Performance, with the album also picking up Best Engineered Recording. Abel also wins four: ROTY, SOTY, Pop Solo, and Progressive R&B album.July 26, 2020 at 8:30 pm #1203604814
I’m an avid watcher. His review was great as usual. He’s a Taylor Swift fan.
Agreed. He gave a great review of this album. I wonder what B-Hop will say. He’s my favorite blogger, so his review should be totally objective and unbiased as usual.July 26, 2020 at 12:01 pm #1203603950
The bottom two belong on a list of the most baffling Acting wins in Oscar history.
Then again, 1965 didn’t really give us much to choose from as most of the nominees were barely in their movies and outshined by other cast members. The only exception was Frank Finlay, who was the best part of a bad movie. If Hardy Kruger, Harry Andrews and Oskar Werner had been nominated, this race would have been different. Agree with Chakiris though, that win was just weird, especially when you consider the competition.July 25, 2020 at 9:08 pm #1203603220
Doesn’t change my opinion though. “With Arms Wide Open” is beautiful to me.
You’re obviously confusing”Beautiful” with “overwrought”. It’s a dreary mess that intends to be uplifting, but is actually depressing. This win really depresses me because the Grammys should be less lazy.July 25, 2020 at 4:43 pm #1203602695
This is shaping up to be a good year.
