Jessica Chastain looks pretty severe.
Viola Davis loves her color, doesn’t she?
Jane Lynch looks nice and glammed up.
Zooey Deschanel . . . interesting look for her.January 15, 2012 at 3:52 pm #48605
Rooney Mara in black, again. She isn’t a big talker, though after the awesome Julie Bowen, no one is.January 15, 2012 at 3:41 pm #48600

“Video Games” deserves all the acclaim its received from here and elsewhere. I don’t regret being a part of that for a second. Rey not being able to sustain that live is definitely problematic, and I don’t know if/how she’s going to recover from that. But it’s clear that this “SNL” platform was too much for her. I hope it doesn’t derail her debut release too much. I’m still giving the debut a listen and hoping for the best.January 15, 2012 at 2:17 pm #235196

I’m not “moving on” from Rey I hear her full-length debut album. There’s still some worth to be had with her, I think. But if these awful “SNL” performances are the norm for her live singing, then she has an incredibly tough mountain to climb ahead of her.January 15, 2012 at 10:18 am #44584
This was a moving and stirring film. Maybe it’s Spielberg fatigue, or the aspects that he excels at as a director come off as emotional manipulation to some, and that’s where the discord’s coming from. The war scenes were expertly done, and Janusz Kaminski’s cinematography work again is stunning. Joey was amazing, and his connection to Albert was truly wonderful to see. And just b/c I was so taken by his work in “A Prophet,” I was glad to see Niels Arestrup arrive in the storyline when he did. There’s worth here that shouldn’t be so easily dismissed, and accepting the story and tone for what it is, I enjoyed it at least. Hope it isn’t forgotten come nominations time.January 15, 2012 at 9:45 am #236208
Does The Sopranos rule still exist? The finale could air in June..
I so hope January Jones has something to do this season.
The hangover rule’s still in effect. It’s weird to bring up since this show has never needed it before, and their season finales are usually a big deal.
And I’m hoping the same for Jones.
