Pop voters only name-check submissions listed above G. Ariana Grande is the furthest they’ll go to choose a 5th name if they run out of picks. We saw that when she beat Lil Nas X & Taylor Swift for BPVA and BPSP nominations in 2022. That’s why Kelly Clarkson & Coldplay are perennial nominees and ABBA, Bad Bunny and Camila Cabello happened last year.
Grande deserved more than the last two frReplyMay 3, 2023 at 10:12 am #1205419955
its so funny to watch bts stans make dumb ass conspiracy theories about billboard lmfao
It’s true though, BTS sell very well and that’s why the Grammys started caringMay 3, 2023 at 10:08 am #1205419953
Do we think Calm Down has real chances of winning Best Pop Duo? I wish that would happen but Selena has a terrible history at the Grammys. I wouldn’t even lock it as a nominee only because of that, although a nomination is much more likely to happen. The other strongest mainstream contender right now, in my opinion, would be Boy’s a liar pt. 2 but I don’t know if the artists behind it are well received by the voters.
This is very true. Kelly Clarkson could have taken this one had she collaborated with a bigger name in her albumMay 2, 2023 at 9:51 am #1205418962
Has anyone mentioned “Cupid” by FIFTY FIFTY? – It has been the biggest song on TikTok for the past 2 months – Currently smashing hard on Spotify (#6 Global, #3 Global combined with the original, and #12 on US Spotify) – Just entered top 20 of UK Singles Chart and is projected to enter top 40 of Hot 100 next week with no radio yet – And the group just signed to Warner Records (Dua Lipa’s label) and are sending the song to radio on May 9 The song itself is total earcandy and sounds very similar to recent Pop Duo winner “Kiss Me More”. If US radio ends up stanning it I can see it actually being a contender!
Undeniable hit but hard to see a TikTok song by a new K-Pop group make it. Boy Is A Liar is already questionable and on shaky grounds.ReplyMay 2, 2023 at 9:50 am #1205418959
Wish they would throw in some oddball and niche artists instead of continuing to nominate veteran Pink and Ed. It’s exhausting!ReplyMay 2, 2023 at 9:13 am #1205418927
I wouldn’t bother reasoning with someone who clamored for an Adele sweep that never happened. I don’t even mind the prediction, but the pedantic and violent way they wanted to impose it.
One this is for sure: Taylor is not going empty handedMay 2, 2023 at 9:12 am #1205418923

Ella Baila Sola, a ROTY contender
I love how Mexican music is taking over the charts and gaining popularity!
Would love a BNA nomination to Grupo FronteraApril 26, 2023 at 5:14 pm #1205412033
Did y’all know what happened to that ‘Candy Necklace’ MV that she teased us a month ago?? Mother forgot her YouTube password T.T
Her notepad with all her passwords got stolenReplyApril 26, 2023 at 5:11 pm #1205412028
If Olivia releases this summer and is successful, it would be hard for it to win BPVA since that category hardly ever repeats. I’d predict Taylor’s repeat over an Olivia one just cause it’s too soon from her last BPVA winApril 25, 2023 at 12:06 pm #1205410153
Who I’d vote for:
Best Alternative Music Album

- Desire, I Want To Turn Into You – Caroline Polachek
- Did You Know… Ocean Blvd – Lana Del Rey (if submitted here)
- The Car – Arctic Monkeys
- Cracker Island – Gorillaz
- The Record – Boygenius
I do see a Boygenius win over the Arctic Monkeys. Sucks that the Arctic Monkeys didn’t win in their AM era.ReplyNot now
