lmao cardi b and jlo ARE similar, the difference with cardi is that she’s more loved by the industry for some reason. i have literally no clue how critics think that cardi’s debut is one of the best and most impactful albums of all time, that shit is trash outside of a few songs
The industry’s love affair with Cardi is basically a power of great influence of their record company. Atlantic Records is the most powerful record company currently in the industry and they have power. Cardi B’s album has songs with her singing in a voice with a congested nose. She has a Grammy for best rap album without ever having done a freestyle. She sang at the Grammy’s with a pre-recorded 2019 base and nothing affected her reputation or the Grammy’s. This is crazy.

but it makes sense sort of, she’s mostly known for her name but nobody born after the year 2005 can name a song by her
Jlo has no grammy because she was a product manufactured by mariah carey’s ex-husband with no artistic intent. Not to mention the controversy of stolen vocals from black singers like Ashanti and others. Jlo is basically a celebrity and not a singer and that is why people in the music industry never gave her that.
Although I see cardi b with the same view that I see jlo and yet she won Grammys. Atlantic Records worked very well with cardi b

Genre “Dance” was nominated in 2000 and 2001 and then never nominated again.
ReplyFebruary 4, 2023 at 11:33 am #1205283902She is from the same record label as last year’s AOTY winner. Jazz is a giant voting block within the academy. She definitely looks like she will win the two categories she is competing in.
ReplyFebruary 4, 2023 at 11:18 am #1205283881No nominees in the main show because the winner will sing in the pre-show, it’s so obvious. Meanwhile, she, samara joy tours the CBS shows, it’s so obvious. She is definitely on every Grammy schedule except the main ceremony.
February 4, 2023 at 8:05 am #1205283533I die that these 10 nominees are all in the same boat in terms of market prominence
ReplyFebruary 4, 2023 at 8:03 am #1205283528these are the sales figures of the nominees posted by HDD without counting stream. only U.S. ATD sales
ReplyFebruary 4, 2023 at 8:01 am #1205283524if the criteria were sales without counting stream latto would win and muni long is just below her in numbers
ReplyFebruary 4, 2023 at 7:52 am #1205283513Muni Long lost best new artist to latto at the Bet Awards. I think Muni Long is an amazing vocalist, not to mention that she impacted R&B deeply this year with her music with several certificates. Hoping she wins some R&B category with her amazing music.
ReplyFebruary 1, 2023 at 9:41 am #1205279537I think muni long really won. Everything in Hollywood is pointing to her winning. I was so sure after seeing a full page of her in the variety that is now out with Doja on the cover.
ReplyJanuary 31, 2023 at 8:03 pm #1205278948One thing that buggles me, Muni Long’s R&B support. If she wins one of the categories, we’ll learn that she got a chunk of R&B votes but she’s against Beyonce and Mary J. Blige, two of the legends in this genre.
It’s her first time at the Grammys, how are you so sure she has more support than those mentioned?

ReplyJanuary 31, 2023 at 7:06 pm #1205278886Don’t forget that silk sonic won R&B song tied with jazmine sullivan last year
