Congrats Jessica. She is now an Academy Award Winner.March 27, 2022 at 2:49 am #1204878468
Reading all these secret ballots, people liked Parallel Mothers, while basically hated all the other films in a way or the other. That’s why Cruz is winning, her film is just way better than the other films and her performance is great too.March 27, 2022 at 1:51 am #1204878409
Gold-Derby users switching from Chastain to Cruz #1 in their predictions, after seeing Cruz snatching 20 secret Oscar ballots, while Jessica barely has 4 votes.March 24, 2022 at 2:29 pm #1204874169
Cruz is leading anonymous votes from 5 different sites, i am switching to her.
From the anonymous Oscars votes thread
Penelope Cruz: 14
Kristen Stewart: 4-5
Jessica Chastain: 3-4
Olivia Colman: 1
Nicole Kidman: 1March 24, 2022 at 3:56 am #1204872931
Yeah, Kidman in top 3 with a performance that SAG-AFTRA denied despite the acting guild supposedly loving the film and “Kidman doesn’t have a SAG for film” rhetoric being spread only for Chastain to win her second SAG award for film.
Stewart/Colman were denied GG/CC/BAFTA/SAG. Kidmans SAG win would add up to her GG+AACTA awards. Throwing Stone from Glass Houses is not good look.😭March 24, 2022 at 3:25 am #1204872805
Why are you so obsessed with me? On Oscar nomination morning, I already warned y’all Kidman would have no support because her film tanked massively at the Oscars. Earlier in the season Colman was definitely ahead of Cruz especially when Parallel Mothers didnt gain high visibility. Now momentum has shifted for Cruz’s favor. One thing for certain since Oscar nomination morning though — Nicole Kidman was always 5th.
Nothing has shifted, the SAG Ballots that were published showed Kidman being close second to Chastain. Colman had no momentum in any awards body, period point blank. Cruz/Chastain/Kidman were always the top3 interchangeable.March 24, 2022 at 2:07 am #1204872714
Will Mavity said that he interviewed some voters (american and internationals) and most of them voted for Cruz and some almost voted for her too but didn’t, these voted for Chastain, Kristen or Kidman, Colman was the only with no vote.
Any comment by Wolfali and Crabbie on the fact Colman recieved 0 votes by a poll of Oscar voters, including international ones ?
The current ranking
1. Jessica Chastain
2. Penelope Cruz
3. Nicole Kidman
4. Kristen Stewart
5. Olivia ColmanMarch 23, 2022 at 1:09 pm #1204871676
Any of the Cruz/Chastain/Kidman alliance winning would be great.March 23, 2022 at 11:44 am #1204871478
I talked with 3 producers and they all 3 voted Kidman. 😏March 23, 2022 at 11:37 am #1204871454
Has anyone calculated how many leaked ballots go to Cruz? I think I saw at least 4 but there could be more. Meanwhile I haven’t seen one go to Kidman yet, but maybe I miss.
The Academy has almost 10.000 voters, it can be misleading 4 votes online from unverified sources.March 20, 2022 at 5:30 pm #1204862707
Coda is winning adapted, Original is up for grabs next week, Belfast is my current prediction, but Pizza or DLU are also possible.March 20, 2022 at 9:53 am #1204861638
