Pretty Certain:
1. Kidman – it’s happening, possibly this decade
2. Winslet – she’s thirsty for it and they seem open to recognising her
3. Theron – again, it’s happening, although she seems to only take lead roles so it may take longer

Likely:
4. Cotillard – she’s well respected and picks interesting projects, I wonder if Annette could get her a third nom and if so, she’s winning again eventually
5. Roberts – also well liked and I could see it happening, although it’s more achievable in supporting

Possible:
6. Mirren – I dunno if she has the narrative to get another win, but if she takes more exciting/baity roles (think her in The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover) it could happen
7. Witherspoon – Like Roberts I could see her winning a supporting one for the right role, but not for a while

Unlikely:
8. Bullock – Dunno, I just don’t see it, very possible she gets more nominations but I think her win is frowned upon too much to justify a second
9. Berry – If she ever manages to get nominated again I think she’ll contend for the win. I just don’t think she’ll get nominated again anyway
10. Swank – No, they aren’t touching her again at all

This looks ok, but I’m kinda underwhelmed. I LOVED ‘God’s Own Country’ and Ronan is always great, but this seems so… meh. Usually a trailer is 100 times more interesting than the film ends up being, because they can just choose the best shots, and this tailer was BORING.

I’m kinda sick about boring period pieces about sad, white gays. Give me modern gays, even gays in the future! The cinematography and score were beautiful (and I’m sure it’ll get acting noms) but not sure about anything else above the line.

Even POALOF was so refreshing in its take, this looks like Winslet and Ronan are just gonna be trying to out-act each other for 2 hours. However, it’s still two famous, pretty, straight, white women playing famous, pretty, gay white women so I’m sure the critics will eat it up.
