ReplyOctober 26, 2021 at 8:39 am #1204540445You can almost picture it: Tony Bennett, beaming and crinkly-eyed at age 95, shuffling slowly to the podium with help from Lady Gaga as the in-house band strikes up one of the indelible Cole Porter numbers from their latest collaborative LP. “Love for Sale,” as it’s called, has just been named album of the year, and now — before an arena full of stars, including a teary-eyed Taylor Swift, and with millions tuned in at home — it’s time for Gaga to pay tribute to her legendary friend with Alzheimer’s disease.
Well
October 21, 2021 at 11:04 am #1204530426Ballots weren’t searchable before? Should be much easier to find submissions this year, then. Hopefully Natalie doesn’t abandon us this time around.
ReplyOctober 1, 2021 at 11:54 am #1204496785The prediction center is updated with LFS, btw.
October 1, 2021 at 11:09 am #1204496486Love For Sale is eligible as confirmed by the Recording Academy itself.
September 29, 2021 at 6:38 am #1204492101The problem with the BRP is that they had too much freedom to choose whoever they wanted to be nominated. Last year’s AOTY lineup, for instance. It’s just impossible that Jhené Aiko, Black Pumas, Coldplay, Jacob Collier and Haim were among the most voted. Most of these weren’t even top 15, let’s be real. So those are FIVE (out of eight) albums they particularly picked for whatever reason.
In my opinion, in a field of 8 nominees at least the top 5 most voted should be honored with the nomination. Then they could choose the remaining 3 as they please. But the way they were doing was just ridiculous.September 28, 2021 at 3:46 pm #1204491244Adele is apparently releasing just a single, not a full album.
September 28, 2021 at 11:36 am #1204490739Apparently Love For Sale is eligible for the Grammy’s this year (they’re releasing on 9/30): https://hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=328464&title=GRAMMY-CHEW%253A-AOTY-LATE-BREAKERS Interscope is releasing a Casette version on the 30th to make the album eligible for this season.
Oh wow, definitely adding this to my AOTY predictions. Can the prediction center be updated, please?

ReplyNovember 23, 2020 at 10:27 am #1203857759Is best new artist really the last category tho? Or is it the opposite order in each set of categories?
It’s the exact order.

Actual questions about other submissions will get lost in the sea of their comments lol
