Chris Pine. I know no surprise coming from me.July 28, 2019 at 9:48 am #1202999656
I saw this last night. And while I didn’t dislike it I have to say out of all the Disney remakes I’ve seen, this’ll was my least favorite. I went home and watched the original from 1994.
While watching this in the theater I kept thinking it’s not had good. I don’t think I’d done that in all the others I saw. It doesn’t hold up to the hype or hold a candle to the original.
i liked it enough to one day want to own it. But not my favorite while imo the original is one of Disney’s best.July 15, 2019 at 2:40 pm #1202976233
I know it won’t happen but I’d love to see Chris Pine be nominated for I Am the Night. I’d love to see him win too. I know, I know, but a girl can dream.July 6, 2019 at 6:08 am #1202963841
I have to honest, I’m not thrilled with a black Ariel. It takes away the trademarks that made Ariel, Ariel. It would be like if they wanted to cast a white girl in the live action movie of The Princess and the Frog. Blacks would be all over that saying they took their movie. I know this makes me sound racist, I’m not. There are just somethings I feel shouldn’t be changed.July 3, 2019 at 6:17 pm #1202961676

Why not Chris Pine for “I Am the Night”? I thought Chris was very good in the show.June 4, 2019 at 6:30 pm #1202923810
I just rewatched “Unstoppable” with Denzel Washington and Chris Pine. Also watched “The Work and The Glory III”.May 24, 2019 at 12:02 pm #1202907260
Julie Andrews for Mary Poppins
While I love that movie and think her very good in the role. Personally I would have given it to her the next year for The Sound of Music. I think TSOM is a better movie and has better preformances. But I do love Mary Poppins.May 11, 2019 at 6:22 am #1202888728
I watched Tolkien couple of days ago and since it’s floating around as a possible contender, I am gonna share some quick thoughts on it. The movie captured Tolkien’s essence, his genius and inspirations very well. His war experience and some fantasy elements were interwoven in an interesting and creative way. The cinematography was great and Thomas Newman’s score was outstanding. As for the performances, both Collins and Hoult did a good job and they had some great chemistry. Collins in particular gave a very charming performance. Between this, the Ted Bundy film and Les Miserables, she is definitely on a roll. That said, I don’t think it’s going anywhere. The release date is too early and I suspect it will be overshadowed (critically and financially) by a lot more higher profile contenders.
i just saw this last night and will have to say though it wasn’t bad I don’t see it as an Oscar contender.
