I’d predict Midnights for AOTY before I predict it for BPVA, Pop voters don’t go for Taylor much for some reason.ReplyFebruary 6, 2023 at 12:15 pm #1205294549
That they should rename the Best Pop Duo/Group Perfomance category and that boomer voters bought into this Harry Styles persona his team created.ReplyFebruary 5, 2023 at 5:24 pm #1205289985
The Academy really embraced Harry Style huhFebruary 5, 2023 at 5:09 pm #1205289734
Coldplay is there.February 5, 2023 at 1:40 pm #1205287022
How did Mary get into album of the year?
My question right now.February 5, 2023 at 1:27 pm #1205286670
Are we sure Taylor is attending?February 5, 2023 at 1:26 pm #1205286657
I don’t think they literally open them. I think the third party tabulation company gives them the winners.
I didn’t mean literally, but the only ones that should know the winners until the envelope are the workers from the accounting firm and only them.February 5, 2023 at 1:24 pm #1205286634
Remember that they made Ariana perform and didn’t give her any win.
This was pre-Ben Winston.February 5, 2023 at 1:20 pm #1205286577
It’s so ridiculous from the producers to break the rules about openning envelopes just to convince stars to attend the ceremony. This is supposed to be a serious awards but they act like the VMAs.February 5, 2023 at 1:10 pm #1205286412
either unholy or I like you (ahs) is winning pop duo then ?
Coldplay is attending tooFebruary 3, 2023 at 3:48 pm #1205283024
What would mean if Pop Album is televised? Could it mean that Harry won it? Or Beyoncé won AOTY? What’s more likely?
I think Pop Duo/GP will probably be televised for Sam Smith. But if either Pop Solo or Pop Album is televised it means Adele is not sweeping.
It means nothing, producers may try to guess but they don’t know until the envelope is opened.ReplyFebruary 3, 2023 at 10:55 am #1205282549
1. I don’t think the Grammy voters care about anything you just mentioned. Bts are still a boyband and the Grammy’s has never looked at boybands favorably. Even with their Butter performance that nobody outside of stan Twitter gave a darn about. 2. One Direction at their peak were just as popular if not more so than bts and they were never recognized at the Grammys. They sold out stadiums left and right too and sold millions of records. However, it wasn’t until Harry Styles went solo that he got any recognition. Now he’s nominated all over the general field and is a Grammy winner. He’ll probably be a multiple Grammy winner after Sunday. 3. I think the voters are more inclined to recognize ABBA who are Pop legends than bts. I don’t think the industry loves them or regards them in the way that you think they do. I think they see them as more of a gimmick with crazy fans rather than actual artists. 4. Like I said, I’m going to wait and see if the category will be announced on live TV. I think that will be a big indicator of who has won the award.
I truly believe live announcement or pre-show announcement isn’t a indicator at the grammys. We’ve seen this over and over again every year, I always remember of that year they presented Best Comedy Album live and since Ellen was there everybody thought she had won it just for Dave Chappelle to win it while not attending.ReplyFebruary 3, 2023 at 10:49 am #1205282532
This is so hard to predict. I guess I’m leaning towards Latto right now. How come Anitta has so many votes?ReplyFebruary 2, 2023 at 4:03 pm #1205281527
I don’t have a winner in this argument, but is that why BTS fans are spamming the Grammys social media accounts?
Just quickly looked it up and most of the spamming I saw was by Anitta stans. Unless you think some dozen accounts mean spamming, I don’t know what you’re talking about.ReplyFebruary 2, 2023 at 2:55 pm #1205281424
It’s kinda funny seeing some of you guys complaining in advance about BTS stans reaction if they lose the award when in reality most of them couldn’t care less about the Grammys anymore or don’t even know they’re taking placing this weekend.
