There’s some buzz in the lead actress category with recent performances like Niecy Nash, Marisa Tomei and Paula Malcomson but I wonder how they can compete with women who dominated hours and hours of television in true leads role like Adams, Arquette and Williams…
Just finished. Good, not great show.
Predictable but still a satisying binge.
The acting was the strongest part and both actresses are great.
Applegate, in particular, stole the final episodes with Cardellini character becoming a bit less interesting.
Of course is not a comedy but Applegate should be nominated anyway.
Good finale with a bad ending.
So so season of what should have been a limited series. Very worried for season 3.
Last year with way more whorthy performances from actresses I would have snubbed both Sandra and Jodie and I would nodded the show and the writing.
Opposite thing this year: nominations just for Sandra and Jodie. With Jodie being a…[Read more]
It should have been shorter, 4-6 episodes, no more.
First half was perfect, but second half bored me, even if the finale was very well done.
That’s way Dennamora was better – it was thilling from the beginning to the end.
Joey King was a revelation but I think the nomination is her reward.
Arquette has no close competition and…[Read more]
Cherry Jones did nothing in THT and while I love Cicely Tyson I don’t think she was Emmy whorthy in this season of HTAWM.
With Carice out the race should be just between Jessica Lange and Philicia Rashad.

I probably would go with This Is Us.
It had some highs and lows but the highs were series highs to me (Vietnam, Songbird Road part 1 and Our Little Island Girl) and between regular cast members and guest actor I would nominate something like 8 performers..

“Our Little Island Girl” – THIS IS US
I think none of the Game Of Thrones ladies come close to Garner and Kelechi Watson.
Between Garner and Kelechi Watson it’s such an hard pick for my personal choice: they are both so deserving.
On the other hand to pick a personal winner for drama series it’s impossible this year: I think no one really deserves it.
Another strong episode.
The show is back in form after a slow start.
Jodie Comer should win Outstanding Lead Actress in A Drama Series.
Oh, sadly, sometimes looks like a supporting player.
I hope they deliver with the final two.
I don’t see in the prediction center two shows I have appreciated this season:
My Brilliant Friend (HBO) – should be a drama series considering the second season renewal
Wanderlust (Netflix) – wasn’t Toni Collette spectacular as usual?
Are they eligible??
Between Six Feet Under and AHS Anthology Frances Conroy is SO overdue for an Emmy.
Right now she would join my dream list of nominees in the supporting drama category along with Julia Garner, Rea Seehorn and Susan Kelechi Watson.
Sadly Kathy Bates will be name checked way before her.
