Being totally honest what bothers me about Adele and Bruno’s sweeps is that they are more wins based on the artist’s name (although if you ask me Hello and LTDO have deserved their wins). Kendrick is not just a known face but his album stands on its own merit.

I love Kendrick and now I have higher expectations with this album.

We are going to continue to obsess about a case from years ago when there are much more serious problems now? (That the Grammys nominate sexual predators even if they take a female ally stance).

I really only see Taylor winning Favorite Female Pop Artist and Favorite Music Video if All Too Well is nominated.

One question: Why do you consider Motomami more of an alternative album?

There are a couple of mistakes with some predictions.
1) Tate McRae has already been nominated for “Best New Artist” (2020).
2) Stay was already nominated in Song of the Summer (and lost to Butter in the semi-final).

Is it really possible for re-recordings to be eligible or even for Taylor to be encouraged to send them?

To ensure the attendance of more artists they should find better incentives, place the ceremony in accessible dates, bring the real winners even if it is by pre-recorded speeches, idk.

I honestly don’t know if it’s worse to leave all the voting power in the fandom or in the organizers. I think the winners should be chosen by a committee totally unrelated to the organization of the ceremony to avoid the performer-winner effect. All this talk gives material for a new thread on who could have been nominated in “Best Pop Song”.

I got to thinking that aside from a snub to Taylor, the extension of 10 nominees wanted to avoid another “The Weeknd Moment” (a mainstream artist losing nominations) and came up with a stupid idea to compensate for the absence of mainstream acts.
If they opened a “viewer’s choice” category?

The only nominations I can remember for Nicki are BNA, BPDGP 2015 and 2016’s Rap field which impossible she would have beat Kendrick and one of the best albums out there.

It’s about time Pop was given its own songwriting category.

You know, I miss BTS with the beautiful production of songs like “Fake Love” or “On” but for some reason the American market prefers more radio friendly and plastic stuff, Ugh.
