Just to add to the discussion, in the latest Daytime Confidential podcast, they mentioned generally what each submitted. BB submitted episodes surrounding Hope having the baby and then the baby switch reveal. Days submitted back to back episodes, the Friday ending with the time jump and the Monday that was the first full episode of the time jump. GH submitted oscars death for both writing and show, and submitted the Christmas episode as their second episode for drama series. YR submitted Neils death.April 25, 2019 at 7:12 am #1202866089
Young and the Restless

Outstanding Lead Actor – Peter Bergman
Outstanding Supporting Actress – Christel Khalil
Outstanding Supporting Actor – Bryton James
Outstanding Guest – Eileen Davidson
Genoa City learns of and mourns Neil Winters.
This was very tough to watch but great work across the board. I am sure this was all very real emotion from these actors considering the circumstances, but very well handled and respectfully done so far IMO.April 19, 2019 at 6:36 am #1202858839
Victoria Konefal submitted some good scenes, but I feel like not what most expected. She submitted from early January where she was hungover from New Years and went off on Rafe for sleeping with Sami. She also submitted the scenes from I believe June where she confides in Kayla about her rape. And she said to add some contrast and some lighter scenes, she submitted the scenes after Ben surprised her by fixing her bike.
Olivia Rose Keegan submitted most of her scenes surrounding when her and Ben were working together and her manipulating him. She also submitted her goodbye to Theo from early in the year.August 7, 2018 at 8:51 am #1202604500
From what I understand, Allison Sweeney, Stacy Haiduk, Martha Madison and Brandon Beemer will all start airing around the end of this month to coincide with the Jarlena wedding. Martha has said that her and Brandon will be airing for a few months and I have seen mentions from her and Nadia that there will be some story between Mimi, Chloe and Belle. Linsey Godfrey won’t air until late October, early November based on when she started taping and it seems from Twitter chatter and tweets from the actors themselves that she will be paired with Greg Vaughan. Not sure on the rest, but I would think Kyle Lowder should be relatively soon too since that news came out awhile ago, I would guess September since I think he’s been filming since March.July 3, 2018 at 9:25 am #1202578657
While none of what I am about to say has been officially confirmed, I just wanted to add to this conversation about why the recast may have happened (mild possible spoiler to follow). So, the rumors of this recast started about 3 months ago on Twitter. It was discussed that Ron had a story planned for Kristen to show up at John and Marlena’s wedding. They contacted Eileen, but Sony refused to let her go over at that time. So, because DAYS tapes so far ahead, Stacy had already been filming for several months by the time it was revealed that Eileen was leaving YR.
While I share some of the sentiments that others have said here, I am willing to let it play out. I am guessing that the story was really good if Ron was willing to still go ahead with it even when he was unable to get Eileen. Ideally, I would like for them to reshoot with Eileen since none of it has waited yet and she is available now, but I understand that this is likely not possible money wise.April 5, 2018 at 9:05 am #1202524552

Days of our Lives
Lead Actress: Marci Miller
Abby goes to Marlena fearing she’s losing it.
I think Marci has been great in this story and this episode as a whole was a good showcase for her. She perfectly portrayed all the emotions, her fear, confusion etc. She was really raw with her emotions and I think this would make a good contrast to some of the other stuff with the alters.March 31, 2018 at 11:54 am #1202522175
1. Reign Edwards
2. Haley Erin
3. Olivia Rose Keegan
4. Chloe Lanier
5. Cait Fairbanks
i don’t think any of these reels were necessarily slam dunks, but for me, it’s between Haley and Reign. I think what set theirs apart is that they both made me feel something. I was genuinely moved by both and I can’t really say that about the others. Olivia was a pleasant surprise performance wise, but the order of scenes was definitely confusing. I agree with everyone about Cait, that Camryn stole the show. As for Chloe, I didn’t see what others saw. I actually thought she was really strong in that last scene with Michael but I didn’t really care for her in the rest of it.

Wally Kurth submitted scenes in the bar when he asked Olivia to marry him. Then scenes with Michael in the Quartermaine den where he is challenging him and they have a confrontation about the business. Then 2 or 3 scenes with Tracey where she is telling him about Edward’s letter and he asks her why did she need a letter to let her know that he loved her. Last was a happy scene outside of Olivia’s room before the wedding and telling her she could wear anything and be the most beautiful bride in the world.
I didn’t watch a lot of GH last year, so I’m not really familiar with any of these but it sounds like a good range of emotions. I’m excited to watch it and see how it stacks up!March 24, 2018 at 2:39 pm #1202518615
I went into this a bit in the Emmy citations thread, but I really enjoyed yesterday’s episode. The court room scenes, the JJ/Lani scenes and all of the Stefan/Abigail/Chad stuff was really good and ended with some good cliffhangers on Friday.
Also, I am thoroughly enjoying the performances from Wally Kurth and Laura Kai Chen. They have a really good dynamic and a nice rivalry chemistry. I actually wouldn’t mind if something developed between them or if they had hate sex or something. There’s just something between them that I am really enjoying and would love to see Trask mixed more into the show in the future, as she is a good addition and a really good actress.
I like that the JJ/Lani reveal surprised me in the way that it came out without feeling rushed. I think when they suddenly got engaged, everyone was assuming the truth would come out at the wedding, but I like that we were thrown a slight curveball and it came out here instead. All in all, I’m enjoying the show as a whole thoroughly and the pace and the acting has been on point!March 24, 2018 at 2:32 pm #1202518610

Days of our Lives
Outstanding Younger Actor: Casey Moss
Outstanding Supporting Actress: Sal Stowers
The truth comes out in Court about Lani and Eli and Lani tries to explain herself to JJ.
Really good stuff from these two on yesterday’s episode! I thought they both sold the moment and brought all of the emotion that we needed. We got the big moments in the courtroom and then some quieter, pure emotional stuff when they were alone. I thought the episode as a whole was really solid and had 3 big cliffhangers and I was on the cusp of citing it for drama series. I also wanted to give a shout out to Wally Kurth and Laura Kai Trask for their work on this episode and Thursday’s. Not necessarily Emmy worthy, but I really enjoyed their opening statements on Thursday and then their head to head after Lani’s testimony on Friday.March 13, 2018 at 6:52 am #1202512467

Days of our Lives
Outstanding Lead Actor: Eric Martsolf
Outstanding Lead Actress: Kassie DePaiva
Victor tells Eve that Brady was setting her up and she calls off the wedding.
I thought both, especially Kassie, were really great in these scenes. I’m not quite sure if they would fit in Lead or Supporting because it is still early in the year, but this would make a great reel for both of them either way!March 2, 2018 at 8:02 am #1202504038

Bold and the beautiful
Outstanding Lead Actress: Heather Tom
Outstanding Lesd Actor: Don Diamont
Outstanding Supporting Actor: Darin Brooks
Wyatt and Katie tells Bill about their engagement. He blows up and threatens to cut Wyatt out of his life and sue Katie for custody of Will.
I haven’t been watching BB regularly but had heard good things from this fallout, so decided to check it out! The performances from these 3 were all really stellar. Don plays a great villain even though I can’t stand bill at this point. Darin and Heather perfectly played all the emotions, the anger, hurt, surprise. I’m sure we will get more good stuff from these 3 as this story unfolds!January 17, 2018 at 6:29 am #1202469173

Good list Freeman! I wrote my list out before looking at yours so as not to be influenced, but they are fairly similar! I just stuck to the acting categories since we know they will nominate all 4 for the other categories, but here are mine:

Days of our Lives
Outstanding Lead Actor: Billy Flynn
Outstanding Supporting Actress: Lauren Koslow
Outstanding Supporting Actor: James Reynolds
Chad rips into Kate after discovering the truth. Abe finds out J.J. was deemed innocent and then had a heartfelt monologue at Theo’s bedside.
Some more great work from these three. All have been effective in this story and Monday was no exception. James showed a great range as he was very angry and veering over the top but then grounded it and based it in pure emotion when he was with Theo. I am particularly rooting for Lauren Koslow to get a nomination. She has never been nominated and I think this year as a whole has been some the best work she has ever done!
