Consider Zotopia in all categories
July 22, 2016 at 11:14 am #1201879131I think a nomination is certainly in the cards, but adding new songs to an established musical score is always tricky because the songs that have been added can’t live up to the originals. It’s the same reason that Dreamgirls and Les Miserables didn’t win for their original songs.
ReplyApril 6, 2016 at 12:13 pm #662356Come time for the Oscars, will Zootopia be remembered outside of the Animated feature category? Check out my fan-made FYC poster!

ReplyMarch 23, 2016 at 6:22 am #600769Here’s the thing: I think that if Disney plays their cards right, Zootopia has a chance to be nominated for Best Picture. Here are the facts;
* It has a 99% on RottenTomatoes.
* If it becomes the most critically successful film from the first 6 months of the year, it could be remembered a la The Grand Budapest Hotel.
* It should be one of the first screener copies that voters get.And most importantly;
* It has a message that is important and socially relevant, something most animated movies don’t have, but certainly something Oscar looks for.
