the “you need to nominate BTS because of how huge K-pop is” angle is going to backfire horribly. At the end of the day, voters care about the music. There has been no compelling argument made for why BTS deserve a Grammy nomination aside from their numbers.
Plenty of #1 hits have missed pop field nominations, including but not limited to

I’m assuming this is based solely on the song’s commercial performance to which I would say… “Without Me”
Like I said, there are a lot of songs in contention for Pop Solo so I really only see “Blinding Lights” and “Circles” as the two undeniable ones that will get in no matter what
I still think Dua Lipa is being heavily overestimated but I don’t think I’m going to be convincing anybody here of that. At the moment I just have her getting in ROTY and Pop Album.

“Fallin’,” “Daughters,” “Not Ready to Make Nice,” “Rehab,” and “Viva la Vida” are all amazing. “Single Ladies” is fun and “Don’t Know Why” is nice, but the others are just inspired.
Probably Amy, it’s a song that could have been recorded in any decade and still been amazing.
