Just as a note, rarely are there winners at the Grammys from non-English speaking countries. That’s why people say they are Xenophobic.
yes u r right and its bad that happens but that isn’t xenophobia, its probably racism most of the time
December 4, 2020 at 9:34 pm #1203895481Wow, stunning lyricism. Very deep and meaningful, i love that. Anyways, dynamite was a #1 hit for multiple weeks while exile, un dia were heavy flops.
exile wasn’t a single and it peaked at #6
December 4, 2020 at 9:27 pm #1203895471He’s clearly trolling. Also xenophobia refers to people of Asian descent, of which Dua is not.
Idk where u learnt or heard this but u are very wrong

no it doesn’t?????? what?????
xenophobia
/zɛnəˈfəʊbɪə/
Learn to pronouncenoun
dislike of or prejudice against people from other countries.
December 4, 2020 at 9:25 pm #1203895467people (specifically army) need to realise that not nominating BTS is NOT xenophobic. If the grammys were xenophobic than only US artists would be nominated. Racist? Maybe. But they are not xenophobic because xeno literally just means foreigner. And anyone can be a foreigner. If I go to another state I can be a foreigner. Canadians are foreign.
December 4, 2020 at 9:22 pm #1203895461Grammys are xenophobic for not nominating dynamite in SOTY and ROTY. the songwriting in this song is impeccable and production is one of the best of the year so far.
“Cup of milk, let’s rock and roll
King Kong, kick the drum, rolling on like a Rolling Stone
Sing song when I’m walking home
Jump up to the top, LeBron
Ding dong, call me on my phone”
so right, these lyrics just make me tear upalso if the grammys are xenophobic (which they aren’t as they nominated Dua Lipa who’s not American) than why would they win???
December 4, 2020 at 9:19 pm #1203895456Within the last 15 years SOTY has been awarded to two separate songs that faced plagiarism lawsuits. It’s not about the writing anymore, it’s just hits or sweeps.
which songs?
December 4, 2020 at 8:24 pm #1203895378And? Dynamite is #1 on every year-end song lists.
LMAO I haven’t seen it once????? sure its been on them and im sure its been one or two on a few but every is so extreme. Also BTS doesn’t have any other noms so idk if I believe that they will have enough support
December 4, 2020 at 8:04 pm #1203895284Taylor closes most of the shows she’s in because of her name. If she’s first some people will be like, well she’s done no need to watch the rest. Ill just see who wins online
the only time she’s opened a concert in recent memory was last year at Jingle Ball because she had her birthday party so she swapped performance times with Halsey and Halsey went last
ReplyDecember 4, 2020 at 8:01 pm #1203895271Her name. No one is gonna go “I have to turn on the Grammys right at 8 because megan thee stallion (or dua lipa) is the opening act. If she’s performing, expect her to open like she does at 90% of shows.

ReplyDecember 4, 2020 at 6:05 pm #1203895150The Box and everything I wanted are in the same category.
ur right they are also in SOTY, but what do they have to do with brilliant song writing
December 2, 2020 at 2:29 am #1203888943Most of pop artists minus Taylor and 1 or 2 belong to this description. This is how the music industry works. I agree Folklore should be recognized for its self-made nature. It is actually a project of 3 people(Taylor,Jack,Aarron and JOE) and help of the mixers. We kinda highlighted the singer/songwriter/producer element of Folklore will score points for Grammys and I still believe it will matter.
