The writing, directing, and of course, the performances, were all in top form tonight! But that ending, though… And, once more, never enough, I have to quote Denzel Washington from a few a years ago… “Viola Davis, Viola Davis, Viola Davis!!!She can leave the set of that show when they’re done shooting the final scene, knowing she’s created one of the most iconic TV characters in history!!

Tonight’s episode is the last one before the winter break finale, and it’s profoundly entitled, “I Want To Be Free”.
After taking the stand during Nate Senior’s murder trial, Bonnie’s world is turned upside down when a mysterious accident leads her to a hard realization. Meanwhile, the students compete for a large cash bonus during the final exam where they must come up with the best defense for a conspiracy-to-murder charge.

I really enjoyed the case, and all that it had to offer. This show always had a knack for picking some of the greatest lesser known character actors, who has donated magnificent performances to the show over these past 6 seasons, and no doubt, counting with more guest performers to come. I liked the twisted vindictiveness between Tegan and Annalise, and her having Frank scare her into backing down from the Nate Lahey Sr case.
One of the best attributes of this show, imo, is Pete and the writing team ALWAYS gave Viola episodes that allowed her to display range from subtlety to all out fury, and Viola has NEVER skipped a beat!
But that ending, though…….

Diahann, was outstanding in the role, as was James!! Well deserved nomination. Soundtrack was superbly done, too!November 7, 2019 at 5:57 am #1203169594
Tonight’s episode is the 7th of the season, and it’s entitled, I’m the Murderer.
Gabriel is first chair on a case defending a teacher involved in a school shooting, and this case hits particularly close to home for both Gabriel and Annalise. Elsewhere, Annalise attempts to discourage Tegan from her new quest to right a wrong, all while Oliver makes a shocking confession.

Earlier this year, “All In The Family” was re-created with a stellar cast, great reviews and an award-winning turn in it’s live capacity. As I suspected, “Good Times” will go next. Casting is yet unknown, but it will go live 12/18/19. I maintain Viola Davis will make one hell of a Florida Evans. Who else are we thinking will get cast as the Evans family?
Note: Washington, who played Helen Willis in the May “Jeffersons” episode, joins Kimmel, Lear, Will Ferrell, Justin Theroux and Brent Miller as an executive producer of the holiday installment.November 5, 2019 at 4:26 pm #1203167588
Not at all underwhelmed by any stretch. I think because of the pace they’ve set for their episodes, some fans anticipate every episode will be this roller coaster ride, and there will be 15 things going on in each episode. They’ve done enough of that. I love the medium pace they’ve taken. They will give us the roller coaster stuff on the final 6, i’m pretty sure. I can’t believe we are in the single digits of final episodes. Bittersweet, I tell ya…..
@emmyfan, Pete has implied she will of course make a final appearance. Unless barring any, god forbid, health issues or scheduling conflicts, it would be ridiculous if she didn’t make one final turn as Ophelia Harkness……November 1, 2019 at 6:18 am #1203161703
So, it looks like any of us who has suspected all along that Annalise is faking her death are most correct. Although i’m sure there is another twist in there none of us are expecting. I was very glad the writers didn’t suspend our belief enough (even though we don’t know much about her), into thinking Cora would be dumb enough to fall for a stranger in Nate. She really gave him the business! LOL
Aja Naomi King has really been killing it this season, but I find Ms. Pratt to be quite annoying, more often times than not!

This was definitely in my top 3 of the five so far this season! You know it’s starting to close in on them and get real when Frank gets badly beaten! MVP award goes to Amirah Vann! great performance!!
“We’re All Gonna Die” gets an A from me!October 24, 2019 at 6:09 am #1203150299
Tonight’s episode is called, “We’re All Gonna Die”
During therapy, a young Annalise is forced to acknowledge a very emotional and pivotal reality that makes her admit a hard truth. Meanwhile, a brutally beaten Frank returns home with a secret to share about Laurel’s disappearance. Elsewhere in an attempt to get to know her father, Michaela accepts an offer to work alongside him but quickly learns that it’s not all that it’s cracked up to be.

Episode 1 & 4 of this season are my favorites! They’re showing so many different sides of Annalise this season, and Viola is nailing it! Love the stuff with Michaela and her dad, Nate & Bonnie’s exploitation of Tegan. Good Sh**t!

Didn’t get a chance to post my take on the third episode because I was out of town, but it was a ride!
Tonight’s 4th episode is entitled, “I Hate the World”.
The FBI continues to interrogate Conner which leads him to panic under the pressure. Meanwhile, Annalise, Tegan and the students defend a woman accused of violating a disabled man’s civil rights for developing a dating app that discriminates against him. Elsewhere, Bonnie helps Nate get more intel on Tegan while Michaela and Gabriel travel to New York to track down her father.
