This movie has to be nominated for Best Foreign Language. It’s probably the best movie I’ve seen so far this year.August 13, 2019 at 8:48 am #1203021897
Lady Gaga is famous all around the globe. When I watched American Horror Story: Hotel, I could not take her seriously because all I could think of was Lady Gaga. However while watching A Star is Born, I completely forgot that it was Lady Gaga on screen. So like everyone says, if an actor, even if they’re too famous, is good at what they’re doing then the audience will have no problem in seeing the character.August 8, 2019 at 4:40 am #1203015380
First look at Amy Adams on the set.July 28, 2019 at 6:18 am #1202999493
How about Nancy Olson in Sunset Boulevard? I rewatched it the other day and was actually surprised she received a nomination for Best Supporting Actress because she did nothing memorable in the movie at all.July 23, 2019 at 9:19 am #1202991562
Damn, I was hoping The Woman in the Window would be on the list but forgot it was pushed back to next year lolJuly 21, 2019 at 6:25 pm #1202988961
In my opinion, Yalitza is the heart and soul of Roma, I thought the nomination was well deserved. And when I watched Blue Jasmine and thought “What in the hell did Sally Hawkins do to get a nomination?”, that was until I found out that she’s actually a British playing an American. Same goes with Renee Zellweger in Briget Jones’ Diary; American playing a British. But in recent memory:
Adam Driver, BlacKkKlansman
Sam Rockwell, Vice
Jacki Weaver, Silver Linings Playbook
Rachel McAdams, SpotlightJuly 9, 2019 at 4:39 pm #1202968504
The film is getting reshoots due to the the audience’s confusion in the third act during a test screening and is now moved to 2020 release date.
Now Amy will have two movies in award contention, this and The Hillbilly Elegy. Could this be a repeat of 2017 where she was completely snubbed for Arrival and Nocturnal Animals?June 4, 2019 at 6:42 pm #1202923825
On another note I finally got to see Richard Madden have sex with a man and for that I’m eternally grateful.
I suggest you search up Richard Madden in Sirens on YouTube.
But I agree with everyone else, this movie was lightyears better than Bohemian Rhapsody. Egerton was definitely Oscar worthy, I hope he ends up in the top 5 for Best Actor.May 6, 2019 at 12:49 am #1202881996
I don’t necessarily hate her win, but definitely wasn’t my favourite. Sally Hawkins gave a better performance and she should have won.
