You don’t have to be an asshole sweetie. We get it, you have made it pretty clear that you don’t like Jennifer Lawrence. In fact you don’t like when a young yt woman wins an oscar. Brie Larson, Jennifer Lawrence, Emma stone, Alicia vikander… the list just goes on.
LMAO the likes…
You can tell jlaw is the moment when they talk about her instead of lupita nyong’o’, on her on thread 🤣

Jennifer Lawrence – Meryl Streep
Emma stone – Goldie Hawn
ReplyNovember 18, 2021 at 6:48 pm #1204587382This might get mixed reception even if it’s good. Critics hate McKay with passion.
October 28, 2021 at 7:58 am #1204544608Does it mean they will campaign for her???
Idk but she’s playing a baity role so may be yeah, we will find out soon enough anyway.
October 28, 2021 at 12:36 am #1204544143Here's a thought – what if Meryl Streep was president?

A new still of Meryl Streep.
As McKay tells Empire in the Spider-Man: No Way Home issue, Streep’s character is “an amalgam of all the ridiculous, ineffective Presidents that the United States has had over the past 40, 50 years.” And she’s far from the only big name in an astonishingly star-studded cast – one that features leads in Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence (an astronomer duo warning of an approaching comet), plus Jonah Hill, Mark Rylance, Tyler Perry, Timothée Chalamet, Cate Blanchett, Himesh Patel, and appearances from Ariana Grande and Scott ‘Kid Cudi’ Mescudi.
It’s a stacked line-up that even McKay can’t believe. “Of course, it’s great to get tremendous actors in your movie, but I never expected it to be this many, and to this degree,” he says. “Initially I had a couple of people in mine – ‘Well, if we could get them, that would be great’ – and it just kind of kept snowballing.”
October 25, 2021 at 12:14 pm #1204538635Do you have anything valuable to contribute or do you just show up and go “ohohoho you hopeless little fools” twice a day whenever we have opinions
It’s rich coming from someone who only comes here to bash this movie
October 24, 2021 at 2:03 am #1204535584Sorry I simply don’t believe any of those comments lol. If they’re true and it’s a masterpiece then whoever edited the trailers should be fired
Did they say it’s a “masterpiece”?
October 22, 2021 at 2:20 am #1204531729It’s a crappy allegory
I bet it wouldn’t be “crappy” if it were directed by someone else 🥴
October 21, 2021 at 9:23 pm #1204531476?
You have made it pretty clear that you don’t like this movie and a specific actress from this movie through and through.
October 21, 2021 at 9:15 pm #1204531464Something that’s really been bothering me about this film is just how terrible an allegory for climate change it is. The entire problem with climate change is that the cause of it is so tied up in our economic system and energy infrastructure (and with the powerful people who benefit from not changing either of them) that it’s very difficult if not impossible to stop it without overhauling both of them. An earthbound comet is basically just a natural disaster not caused by humans those in power have no vested reason not to try and prevent. This film’s premise is almost too thin to support a comedy sketch, let alone an entire feature. I would much prefer it if this film was just about climate change instead of playing coy about it.
So you have seen this movie?
Like a modern day Dr. Strangelove.
The fact that McKay was inspired by this movie to make Don’t look up.
October 21, 2021 at 9:13 pm #1204531457this is going to be over the top lol
hope it doesn’t Vice its way into the Oscars.
Oh my God…. The film and award expert has spoken. It’s over for this movie. We are so sad 😩😩
September 27, 2021 at 2:28 am #1204487766It’s kind of funny to me the way people
who have decided it’s going to suckare saying this clip is unrealistic meanwhile those people who have worked for government have defferent opinions. As a former Senate staffer, I can confirm the interactions between scientists & policy folks in this scene are fairly realistic #DontLookUp pic.twitter.com/NOeAxNZyxY

My only problem is the editing maybe it’s for the promo but I hope it’s not the actual case in the movie.
September 23, 2021 at 11:30 am #1204481642I just think DLU will suck. If I’m wrong then I’m wrong. We’ll just have to wait and see I guess.
I mean y’all are wishing, hoping and praying for this to happen, it’s so fucking obvious. And even it sucks people are still gonna watch it. And I’m pretty fucking sure it will be the most viewed movie on netflix this year so there is that. Now, if it’s really bother you that much then don’t watch, nobody is forcing you. God bless.
September 15, 2021 at 2:39 pm #1204462108GD members new target is Adam McKay because David O Russell’s new movie isn’t coming this year but the thing is mcKay is a decent guy unlike DOR so I don’t understand where did this hate train come from?
September 15, 2021 at 2:26 pm #1204462068That was the point of the comparison. One is great and the other one suck.
Again they are two defferent directors, it’s like comparing an apple with an orange 💀
