The Undoing looks soooo good. I can’t wait for it. Kidman will get her dues, as will Grant and Ramirez/Sutherland. The person in that cast who has been disgracefully ignored by awards associations for nearly a decade for NO GOOD REASON is Lily Rabe. I’d love for her to get some attention for this show.

Go for it. No ties, no honorable mentions. What are the three shows from this decade that you would have to say are without a doubt your favourite?
1. BIG LITTLE LIES
2. AMERICAN HORROR STORY
3. SMASH (I know, but this show was never anything less than entertaining and every episode of it flew by. It came a cult classic after being cancelled…[Read more]
I do think the younger actors were done dirty on Hollywood. This premise had soooo much potential but the characters were just boring. You can’t watch Samara Weaving in The Babysitter and Ready Or Not and tell me the girl can’t knock it out of the park. She wasn’t given the chance to on Hollywood. Criss and Piking were the only two of the younger…[Read more]
DylanMcPhee replied to the topic Will Laura Linney become the second person to win in all three ''genres''? in the forum Television 2 days, 15 hours ago
I have a hunch that Allison Janney will join this club very soon.
Exactly! They aren’t similar at all. Friends of mine have said “Oh, that shows great but why would she typecast herself and basically play Madeline?” and I’m like CBVVBRGBHDEHVEBJHQDFBEW. Both are rich mothers with fiery tempers and I can only imagine Witherspoon played into that and wanted there to be an initial similarity. Elena is manipulative,…[Read more]

Wow, I had no idea the field was that small for performers breaking into all 3!
I really, really want that Emmy to go to Laura Linney or Jennifer Aniston. That way Linney can become the second/third to join that club or Aniston can become the second person ever to win Leading trophies for Comedy and Drama (Edie Falco being the first).
I hate seeing Washington’s performance being trashed as a result of Witherspoon’s snub. It’s inevitable though when only one makes it in, people take it out on the other. Kerry Washington DESERVED that nomination, she was fantastic on the show and came at the role with her all. But never let it be said that Reese Witherspoon deserved her snub.…[Read more]
1. Mad Men is one of the most boring, uninteresting tv shows ever. Nothing compelling about it.
2. Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad (while I see the appeal) are both very overrated.
3. Smash (NBC) was a great show with brilliant performers and cancelled way before it’s time.
4. Season 4 of Angel is the best season of the series.
5. Reese…[Read more]
I’m only definite for drama right now.
Drama Series: Ozark (should have been Big Little Lies)
Lead Actress: JENNIFER ANISTON (I would have loved either Aniston, Witherspoon or Kidman)
Lead Actor: Brian Cox
Supporting Actress: Laura Dern/Meryl Streep (am I the only one who thinks Julia Garner is great, but Ruth as a character is nowhere near as…[Read more]
I think realistically it would have been Nicole Kidman? She got in at the Globes and CC, I never thought she would be in danger here. It’s really sad that BLL was shut out so badly. With certain shows, the shock factor of a snub can be exciting, but a show like Big Little Lies just doesn’t come around very often and the performances were a…[Read more]
I find it so surprising how divisive Washington is on this board when it comes to LFE. I thought she was bloody brilliant and earned that rightful nomination. I want her to win now!
I am the most furious person out there at the fact Reese got shat on today for no reason other than the fact she served them 3 winning dishes and they wanted to take…[Read more]
THESE. ARE. A. MESS.
Big Little Lies missing for Drama Series, Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman…What? Of course awards shows have always had many factors that go into deciding who and what is nominated, but these are inexcusable snubs. HBO messed up with the release date, but the Academy should have corrected it. No one could ever convince…[Read more]

Tessa Thompson- Westworld
Adam Scott and Shailene Woodley- Big Little Lies
Okay……So with the exception of Succession (which I’m aware will most definitely be nominated and competitive for the win), I’ve either seen the entire season/seen the majority of episodes from all of the major contending shows.
I hope you’re all sitting and ready for this:
1- ‘Big Little Lies’ is better than all of them.
2- Reese…[Read more]
I think it’s pretty much the actress races that are most difficult this year. I feel like a lot of the male contenders are simple-ish to narrow down to a selection of deserving candidates. But there are simply not enough slots for the actresses and too many are going to be disgracefully snubbed. I need to face the reality that Reese may not get 3…[Read more]
It’s interesting that Aniston seems to be the most divisive player this year when it comes to people’s reaction to her performance.
And it seems to go beyond these boards. To be recognised by the Golden Globes, to win the SAG, yet be ignored by TCA and Critics Choice. I’d love to know what those critics were thinking when they watched The Morning…[Read more]
I loved Hale’s arc and character in season 3 the most on Westworld and I’m rewatching it right now. Tessa Thompson is brilliant in episode 3 and should definitely be getting discussion for a supporting actress nomination. I think she was given far superior material than Newton this season and if one supporting actress from Westworld made it in,…[Read more]

SARAH MICHELLE GELLAR.
Her shelf should have collapsed off the wall with the weight of all the trophies she should have won for Buffy. I can understand it being overlooked as a show for its first season, but there is no excuse for the series to not have won multiple times for best drama series for the 6 seasons that followed. In a perfect world,…[Read more]
