Who is winning Visual Effects? Mandalorian? Stranger Things? Westworld? All three deserve it!
How do you all see this seasons chances to get into Best Drama?
Here how I see nominations in all categories:
Supporting Actor: Harbour
TOUGH BUT NOT IMPOSSIBLE:
OK, I found season 3 of Stranger Things to be amazing and much better than Season 2, yet it is under performing at the guilds. Yes, it got at SAG, but it missed on WGA, PGA and DGA.
Why the negative reception on the season?
On Gold Derby I see only David Harbour as possible main category nominee. Why? Millie Bobby was amazing this season, and…[Read more]

The MPSE (the Motion Picture Sound Editors) have 3 categories: Sound Editing – Effects, Sound Editing – Dialogue and ADR and Sound Editing – Music.
I know what the Sound Editing of Effects is – the creating…[Read more]

This is the beauty of movies! They convey different opinions in people, and I respect yours 100%. My love for 1917 is probably a bit biased as am a cinematographer by profession and this is a huge cinematographycal achievement.
Let’s not spam the thread no more. Oscar season is over…bring on the Emmy season 😀
I have been a working as cinematographer and director for over 12 years. I belive in my PROFESSIONAL opinion.
For Sam Mendes to direct the film to a technical marvel and still have this high of an emotional impact is a marvel. I agree on all aspects for Bongs directing. It was also amazing the way he handled characters and genres, but for me…[Read more]
The DGA is voted by Directors only and they appriciate what an amazing feat and achievement is making 1917. And they awarded it.
The Oscars are voted by all members and those people vote for what they like best, not what was best.
Please note, that Parasite is my top 5 movie of the year and it is an amazing film, but Directing was UNBELIVABLE…[Read more]
I am one of those people ho think 1917 is a well deserving winner. It was fresh, it did something new with a familliar story. I love Parasite. It is in my top 5 of the year, but it is not that masterpeice all are raving about. Nor is 1917. But 1917 is a worthy winner. Much better than some we got these past few years.
