Sooo so far only Gaga and Rachel have won relevant critic awards.
The other ones like Detroit, Atlanta, Washington etc are super irrelevant and are making zero noise.November 10, 2021 at 4:37 pm #1204570462
Stewart will be this years Carey Dulligan…
Critics pushing it down people’s throat, only for the industry to say NO!November 10, 2021 at 4:28 pm #1204570433
HOG screening for Bafta members finished and Gaga is getting so much praise and raves on twitter WOW…
Poor Krusten…November 10, 2021 at 11:44 am #1204569736
Not Kristen’s camp paying that bodyguard and cooking guy to praise her 💀
It’s giving Jennifer Aniston level of desperation for that Oscar nom 😂November 7, 2021 at 7:42 am #1204562770
The mental gymnastics…What’s next? The biggest opening for a film starring a lgbt actress with a bad blonde wig and a lot of vomiting?
The movie BOMBED!
Just pray ampas voters won’t check out 30 minutes in…assuming they will have an interest to watch it in the first place…November 7, 2021 at 7:24 am #1204562744
oh so you watched it then?
I didn’t even have to pay for it cause I was invited by others. Theater was 80% empty and some people even walked out before it ended.
Will be curious to see the cinemascore it’ll get. Her supporters have been saying the audience panning at RT is not realistic since it’s mostly haters pulling it down. What will be their excuse if it gets a terrible cinemascore too?November 7, 2021 at 6:35 am #1204562694
The accent is not even the problem, through the whole movie she just whispers, the movie looks like a perfume ad and there is just no story, a stylish movie with Diana’s eating disorder and self-harm.
Movie has no substance or storyline. People are so conviced ampas voters will watch the movie because of its lead being hyped as a frontrunner but…what makes them think these same voters won’t check out 30 mins in, since it’s super boring, slow and lacks a storyline?November 6, 2021 at 3:57 pm #1204561696
Oscar, Bafta, 2x Golden Globe, 2x Critics Choice, 12x Grammy winner Lady Gaga continues to have her haters pressed and obsessed I see…I’m afraid the suffering will continue for them in the next few months…Poor dat!November 6, 2021 at 1:51 pm #1204561536
I am reading a lot of comments from the audience saying Kristen’s whisper-talk is terrible which paired with her fake accent made them unable to understand what was she saying in a lot of scenes…November 6, 2021 at 12:18 pm #1204561380
Meanwhile, Neon released Spencer into 996 theaters in an unusually wide push for what is obviously an art house movie. The Princess Diana Spencer biopic, starring Kristen Stewart earned $760,000 on Friday for a likely $1.95 million opening weekend. That’s an indifferent $1,958 per-theater-average, which might hurt its Oscar hopes if this were a more conventional awards season.”
So this really BOMBED at the box office.
All that hype and push from media outlets and critics and still the public said NO!
But I was told that Diana is a worlwide Icon and the public would have HUGE interest in this movie…did the forum experts lie?
Or is the movie that bad (as seen by the audience panning it) that not even Diana’s name could save it?November 6, 2021 at 11:02 am #1204561228
Crying at Spencer getting panned by the audience…oh well, twitter “critics” could do only so much I guess.
Someone saying “Spencer looks like a vehicle to change couture dresses” took me out…November 5, 2021 at 12:40 pm #1204559670
Wow the acclaim and praise for Gaga continues….there’s so many twitter verified industry people that attended the screenings in the last 2 days and ALL have said the same thing. HOG is super good & entertaining and Gaga is Oscar worthy.November 5, 2021 at 10:27 am #1204559407
Apparently the London Premier is happening on tuesday. Makes sense now why the embargo lifts that day.November 5, 2021 at 10:19 am #1204559392
For everything we’ve seen and heard, it’s very difficult for this film to be well received.
We have literally multiple tweets from sag/critic choice voters/guild members calling the movie super good and Gaga &co Oscar worthy.
The way you think some irrelevant selfcalled movie critic blogers have any say in the Oscar race 😂Not now
