Right now I think Exile is going to take Pop Duo/Group. We’ve seen quite a few alt-pop hits winning this category and Exile fights the mould.
It needs to be a fall single and peak when the voting starts. If folklore gets a lot of love I could see it winning. Bon Iver (who is a Grammy-darling) also helps. “Memories” is not winning so the only threat is “Rain On Me” which was quite front-loaded.

We have a few locks already this year.
The Box winning Rap Song/Melodic Rap Performance
Roddy winning Rap Album
The Weeknd winning Progressive R&B album
I think that’s it as far as locks go.

After Hours is not getting sunbbed in R&B. He is not Khalid. The Weeknd is way more respected and way way more popular and acclaimed.

Beyonce’s last “real” hit where she was a lead artist was “Drunk In Love”. Other songs like “Formation” or “Apeshit” were really front-loaded.

Why did The Dixie Chicks change their name. I mean, those things are getting out of hand. You built your whole career and everything with your name and now after 20 years you change it. For what reasons? IDK if anybody found it offensive. Those things are unnecessary imo.

Why do we even need “Progressive r&b”. If the album is mostly pop then it should be in Pop Vocal Album, if it’s mostly R&B then it should be in R&B album, if its none of the above and has very sounds very “unique” we have Alternative Album. This is just a category for Black pop artists and more melodic rappers.

I am starting to think Darren and Babygirl are the same person. Even last year they had the exact same opinion about Billie. This year they hate Dua Lipa. #exposed

She won both of those categories because she had NO competition in either of them. Had Post, or Cardi B been eligible for BNA that year Dua would not have been a GF winner.
This is subjective. Darren is “objective” so he can’t say that cause it’s his opinion why she won.

She owes a huge thank you to Post Malone (and Cardi B) for one of those. The other was her piggybacking off Diplo and Mark Ronson, please. Some of you really think she’s a Grammy darling because she got lucky.
She still a 2x Grammy winner while Post is 6x Grammy-loser. Be objective. These is the truth, you don’t know why Dua won, the fact is she is THE GF winner already so….Are you dumb stupid or dumb huh?

Darren just hates Mrs. 2x Grammy winner Dua Lipa. Don’t worry his prediction scores are always at the bottom and horrible.

Post Malone has an awful Grammy history. Even though Dua’s competition wasn’t as tough she still won 2x. We never had a huge Dua Lipa song competing in THE GF (New Rules was a live version). I didn’t say DSN is going to beat Circles I just said that imo I think DSN has a bigger chance of winning and that’s not because I prefer DSN. I prefer Savage Remix and still think The Box is winning Best Melodic Rap Performance for example.

It has nothing to do with whether or not I like Billie, and everything to do with the fact that pop/alternative crossover hits routinely do well in the GF, as we just saw this past year with “Bad Guy.” Unlike you, I’m actually capable of being objective. I didn’t even say that she’s a lock to be nominated, and I don’t think she’s getting nominated for ROTY, so calm down. I said that if she gets nominated in either category, she could repeat.
I am also very objective if you havent noticed.

Ok. Sorry for being rude but I just think while she could be nominated, she has no chance at winning.

I don’t get the feeling that “Don’t Start Now” is more loved by people than “Circles.” How do you know? “Circles” was the #1 hit and will probably outlast “Don’t Start Now.”
Just my feeling. Charts are not THAT important. I just think DSN is more competitive than Circles. Post doesn’t have a good history and his previous album was also MASSIVE, maybe even bigger than HB.
