I think that Taylor wasn’t probably runner-up in like any categories.
SOTY: Billie and Dua were probably ahead of herPop Solo: again, billie and dua
Pop Album: Harry could be ahead of her
Pop Duo: maybe she was 2nd but BTS could be ahead
SWFVM: she was probably 4th or 5th here

Chloe and Halle losing everything in R&B, Phoebe losing everything, Roddy Ricch and DaBaby losing eveything, The Bones losing Best Country Song, Dont Start losing Pop Solo/ROTY.

March 14, 2021 at 12:59 pm #1204121594it would be very unusual and crazy if Taylor wins Song Visual Media.
March 14, 2021 at 7:12 am #1204119467If Jack wins POTY, then Taylor is almost a lock for AOTY imo.
January 10, 2021 at 8:33 pm #1203975437How can she be an industry plant? The girl wrote this song after she got a driving license lol. Industry plants are usually heavily promoted, playlisted and get their songs from songwriting camps. Miley, Selena, Ariana and Demi were way closer to industry plants since they really got pushed hard and didn’t write their songs but this hasn’t been send to radio and no heavy playlisting.
January 10, 2021 at 8:28 pm #1203975429FINALLY! We have another main pop girl (on the rise) that writes her own songs. She legit writes the songs, she wrote HSM song alone and has posted a lot of songs she wrote during quarantine and she has talent and she could even massively improve after time. There is potential. I LOVE that she’s writing her own songs and that she is the reason for her fame. Come on!!!
Taylor Swift’s fans are literally running Gen Z music industry.
January 7, 2021 at 6:57 pm #1203968514coney island is fine but it isn’t necessary imo. As good as it is, it drags a bit and something more upbeat would have fit better around dorothea and ivy. coney island could’ve been a bonus track I guess.
Well, i get your point but it’s a collab with the band whose member produced the album…of course she isn’t gonna put it as a bonus track. And the lyrics are incredible on Coney Island.
January 7, 2021 at 2:36 pm #1203968181right where you left me could have replaced coney island imo. It would even work in the track list: dorothea –> rwylm –> ivy would flow really well. Scrap coney island (
) and it’s time to go can be the bonus track and the ‘real closer’ like the lakes was to folklore.
Nooo. Coney Island is such a grower. It’s probably in my Top 5 now. Listen to it with earphones on a walk and you’ll fall in love with it like I did. It’s a huuuge grower like This Is Me Trying was on Folklore.
January 7, 2021 at 12:55 pm #1203967893It’s Time To Go is gorgeous. Daylight of this album.
Step into the daylight and let it to go —–> You know when it’s time to go
January 7, 2021 at 12:52 pm #1203967880The songs are great. But I totally see why she didn’t put them on the standard album. They wouldn’t stand out in the album. They are not that interesting as other songs on Evermore. Right Where You Left Me would be with Closure and Cowboy like me as the least streamed song while Its Time To Go would probably be the least streamed. When you have that strong of an album you have to make some cuts.
December 26, 2020 at 4:34 am #1203945738If you think objecitvely you know it’s impossible for Jacob to win AOTY since his album is not even close to being in Top 100 album of 2020 for any casual listener and the critics didn’t even bother to review his album. We all know folklore defined 2020 when it comes to the general public, to music fans to critics. It has all it needs and it will be an easy win imo if there are not any other factors we currently don’t see since sometimes Grammys are unpredictable.
December 26, 2020 at 4:31 am #1203945736Don’t spend too much time about analyzing the campaign, critic reviews, charts and thinking about stuff like pop/rock/country, votes and Grammy darlings. Just focus on what album/song defined 2020 in US and you’ll get the best objective predictions. Grammys are predictable. When you have 10.000+ voters it matter which songs/albums are the most universally loved and reached the most audience. It’s very clear that Folklore is Album and Pop Album of The Year and Meghan is Best New Artist, Record of The Year is probably Don’t Start Now and so on. There are other factors but they don’t matter as much. We all knew Billie will sweep, we all knew Adele will sweep, we all knew Kacey’s gonna win, TIA was a small surprise but it was still the 2nd most predicted.
December 24, 2020 at 12:27 pm #1203943839so i made a quick research 2020 no uk artist in aoty 2019 no uk artist in aoty 2018 no uk artist in aoty 2017 adele won 2016 no uk artist in aoty 2015 ed and sam smith was nominated but beck won 2014 no uk artist in aoty 2013 mumford and sons won uk artist 2012 adele won 2011 no uk artist in aoty 2010 no uk artist in aoty
The reach. Adele was destroyed everyone in US as well and that’s why she won. If she pulled those numbers only in UK, she wouldn’t win.
December 24, 2020 at 4:43 am #1203943309While Dua is in the top half, we’ve never seen someone like Dua win AOTY (her album made no noise in US charts) and she’s still a little more popular and acclaimed Rita Ora, Bebe Rexha or Ellie Goulding in The US (big hits but not enough personality or something that stands out). But her campaign and collabing with literally everyone from Madonna, Missy Elliot to Gwen Stefani to Bad Bunny, J Balvin, DaBaby helps her.
