I’m glad CBS aired the ceremony and hopefully they’ll do it again (or any of the networks for that matter) for years to come. I also liked how each drama series clips were presented.
The hosts were not my favorites. I wish they would have talked less and showed more acting clips. Showing actors in the audience and having the bubble thing about what they were thinking and the kiss cam were dumb and a waste of time.
I wish we could have seen more acting clips and let the winners have longer times for their speeches.June 5, 2022 at 7:00 pm #1204973581
The Other Guys starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. Action packed comedy. I laughed out loud a few times. Michael Keaton was great in it as well. There were a few times where I felt it dragged on for awhile. If you need a laugh, I highly recommend it.May 31, 2022 at 6:22 pm #1204968977
I haven’t heard anything yet. I just read something that the Emmys will be live starting at 9pm Eastern time and replayed at 9pm Pacific time.May 19, 2022 at 8:19 pm #1204957348
Looks like ABC is moving Abbott Elementary to Wednesday nights starting in the Fall. It’ll air at 9pm eastern.
Crossing my fingers it’ll get some Emmy love.May 13, 2022 at 4:23 pm #1204951346
Next week is the season finale. Big Sky did get picked up for a third season.
I’m having mixed feelings about this show. While I’m happy it got picked up for a 3rd season and I’m excited to see the season finale next week, I still feel it has to many characters and to many storylines going on.May 13, 2022 at 3:57 pm #1204951322
I was looking at who the experts and the editors of Goldderby think is going to win the gold and here are their predictions…
Actor: Peter Bergman, Y&R
Actress: Cynthia Watros, GH
Supporting Actor: Jordi Vilasuso, Y&R
Supporting Actress: it’s a toss up between Stacy Haiduk (Kristen/Susan, Days) and Kelly Thiebad (Britt, GH)
Younger Performer: Sydney Mikayla, GH
Directing: toss up between Days and GH
I almost agree with their choices. I just gotta see what others picked for their reels first.
I hope the voters share the wealth this year and that all 5 nominated shows win an award and not GH winning everything because it’s impossible for one show to win in each category for those who think one show is going to clean house in all 8 categories. The show that’s ever come the closest to winning all 8 (9 if you count when Younger Actress and Actor had their respective categories) was Santa Barbara in 1989 winning 6 out of 9 awards including Best Drama Series for Jill Phelps, Lead Actress for Marcy Walker, Supporting Actor for Justin Deas, Supporting Actress for Nancy Lee Grahn (tied with Debbie Morgan from AMC), Young Leading Male for Justin Gocke, and Best Writing Team for Charles Pratt Jr. And Anne Howard Bailey (David Canary won Lead Actor, Kimberly McCullough won Ingenue, and Y&R won Directing Team).
Do the experts and editors of Goldderby know what everyone submitted? What are they basing their predictions on? I only watch Y&R (and I barely watched it last year), so I’m curious to find out what they submitted for drama, writing and directing.May 13, 2022 at 3:51 pm #1204951320
I’m happy that CBS decided to air the awards show this year and last year. I wonder if they’ll air it again, or if one of the other networks will pick it up. Regardless, the people who work in Daytime deserve to be recognized.May 9, 2022 at 4:18 pm #1204947561
I can’t remember the year, but it wasn’t 2009, maybe 2019, whatever year it was, was the year that Kate Mansi won supporting actress because she was nominated against her!
She was nominated in 2017. I know she was playing Patty Williams and I can’t remember if she was also was playing Emily Peterson at the same time or not.May 8, 2022 at 5:17 pm #1204946425
I enjoyed most of the sketches. The Mothers Day; Toilet Recliner; and Chuck E Cheese sketches were my favorites.May 8, 2022 at 5:12 pm #1204946420

Thanks for the heads up about Venice the series. I’ve never seen it before, but I watched the episodes Jerry was in. They were great!May 7, 2022 at 5:44 am #1204945104
So sorry to hear of Jerry verDorn’s passing and that he had been battling cancer. I was always struck by his great screen presence and natural chemistry with so many of his co-stars, especially Liz Keifer (Ross and Blake were one of my favorite GL pairings).
SOD shared some of the touching tributes to Jerry here:
Thank you for sharing.May 5, 2022 at 12:04 pm #1204943166
I wonder when and if the fans will know what the actors submitted for their reels. Also, I’m curious what each soap submitted for drama, writing and directing.May 5, 2022 at 12:02 pm #1204943162
I thought Beyond Salem was nominated for Writing and Directing while B&B was not.Not now
