    BLANCHETT

    YEOH

    DEADWYLER

    DAVIS

    DE ARMAS

These are my predictions. I have been saying this over the last few months but I´ll say it again: Michelle Williams will be voted in the supporting category and De Armas will make the cut.

If Cate Blanchett wins again, then we´d better start believing that she´ll be getting an Oscar every 9 years (2004 – 2013 – 2022 – 2031 ) and I m so fine with that!) Anti-stans are seething in anger

I ve been watching what´s going on in here over the last couple of months and I have posted myself one or two comments regarding the race. There are, however, a couple of things I d like to point out.

No matter who wins a lead Oscar, there will always be comments and some people will try to ¨justify¨ what the Academy did. Most of the time, however, they miss the point! If Yeoh is snubbed, we are racists. If Davis is snubbed, the world is too white !If Cate is snubbed, the world is homophobic!
…DO YOU KNOW how many ifs we can have simply by not being open-minded?
Who cares if someone is Asian or Black ? To me there is only one race and that is the human race. Stop trying to put everything down to things that do not exist.

If EEAAO appeals to A LOT OF PEOPLE, then A LOT OF PEOPLE WILL VOTE FOR IT! If Cate´s performance is THE GREATEST OF THE LAST 20 YEARS, then we´ll see about that in a few months especially after all of you have seen and judged by yourselves. If Deadwyler or Davis give performances that will stick inside my head for ever, then that´s all I am asking for!

Forget who´s got more Oscars or who´s African American or Asian or younger or whatever AND FOCUS ON THE P-E-R-F-O-R-M-A-N-C-E!!!!!!!!!!

If Yeoh did what Cate did in Tar and if Cate was in EEAAO what would happen? Who knows?

All I am saying is try to forget the labels/traps/bias and let the cinema, let the performance be your guidance regardless of the color of one´s skin or their ¨race¨ ( still a term I don´t agree with)

Based on the reviews and what everybody else reads on the media about Cate´s performance, TAR must definitely be in her TOP5 performances, so I also feel this is going to be her third Oscar.

For the record, she lost 5 times and won 2 and out of those five, I personally take my hat off to Marion Cotillard and Tilda Swinton…

The other three loses she has, though, make me think that she could be a runner-up ( I don´t want to say she was robbed, despite the fact my heart DOES )

-1998 to Gwyneth = everybody knows that was A CRIME ( or a joke to say the least)

-2006 to Hudson = an Oscar to someone who had an amazing singing performance, ok, but COME ON!! If it´s not her for NOTES ON A SCANDAL, then Breslin for Little Miss Sunshine

-2015 to Brie Larson for ROOM! She was great, but considering THE IMPACT that CAROL has had ( and always will ) on the QUEER AND NON-QUEER CINEMA , again, really???

In a nutshell, Cate Blanchett is respected by almost everyone INSIDE the industry and already regarded as one of the greatest actresses we have right now and perhaps one of the best ever; her third Oscar is inevitable and if the performance is THAT STRONG, I don´t think she will be ignored.

Her 8th nomination for TAR is going to build a stronger case for Blanchett getting the 3rd Oscar. Its just a matter of time combined with timing, project and the performance

    I agree with you 100%
Cate Blanchett and her third Oscar win is a matter of time and I don´t think it´s gonna be when she´s an old lady as somebody said earlier in the Forum…I remember a Goldderby Poll asking who s going to be a three time winner from a list of two-time Oscar champs and Cate was number one… we all know, however, that Frances achieved this with Nomadland

Does anybody know if Cate Blanchett is in James Gray´s Armageddon Time? I remember James saying that Cate would have a supporting role and she would give an incredible speech as Donald Trump´s sister!

    CATE BLANCHETT

    KIRSTEN DUNST

    BALFE

    NEGGA

I can´t decide if CATE BLANCHETT or ANN DOWD will get in ( because I believe their names and backgrounds will count when ticking those boxes ) so I did something even crazier: I PUT THEM BOTH IN!

Does anybody think that either Leonardo DiCaprio or Bradley Cooper will surpise on nomination morning?

Leo is well liked and respected by everyone and his movie is the most successful movie on Netflix EVER!OH! And everyone is talking about it these days, by the way!

Bradley got a best actor nomination for American Sniper and his movie back then was not exactly a critics´darling either…

I am not saying that both can get in. I am saying that either can!

Cate Blanchett for Nightmare Alley is not happening then?
She just got the SAG nomination from her peers and the Oscar voters will ignore her? OK

I want to ask you guys a question but I want you to try to get into the voters´ minds (impossible as that might seem)

Fact 1: DeBose was amazing! No doubt!

Fact 2: Rita Moreno won the same Oscar for the same role 60 years ago!

You really think they would give ANOTHER best supporting actress Oscar for the same movie, for the same role to another actor? You are really telling me that it won´t be an issue when the day comes to pick the winner?

I just hope you are right! Because I find it difficult to believe it.
SHE IS GETTING THE NOMINATION, though.
