There’s not that many posts in it. I don’t think a season two thread will be made until closer to its release.
It premiered a month ago lol.April 12, 2019 at 9:08 am #1202849325
Can y’all keep this GoT discussion in the GoT thread? I don’t want to be annoying but i’m not up to date on the show and you are kinda spoiling it to me. Thanks.April 12, 2019 at 4:32 am #1202849066
I never got the chance to comment about it, so has anyone else noticed that Ryan Murphy literally has a Big Little Lies mention at every of his shows that has aired after Big Little Lies‘ first season? He’s so bitter his Feud lost everything to it.
I don’t think it’s bitterness at all.April 10, 2019 at 5:58 am #1202846693
While Jessica Lange and Sarah Paulson seem likely, I think it’s possible the change of category confuses the voters and they end up not nominated. Especially considering FX will for sure focus on POSE.April 9, 2019 at 5:31 pm #1202846220
Exactly. The Emmys are shameless. Drama is so empty right now they of course demanded AHS be banished from the Limited Series race. They pissed me off. But I’m so here for Queen Lange getting her 4th Emmy. I can’t see a scenario where Paulson misses Lead Actress now, even Conroy feels safe to me. Idk we shall see what FX does. BUT… this is Robin’s year for Lead Actress. Period. Paulson can wait til next year when she snatches it for Nurse Ratched.
You mean Sandra Oh’s.April 9, 2019 at 4:05 pm #1202846109
I doubt it considering he didn’t have a proper lead character. (He played 2 supporting + reprised his s1 role in 1 episode). Sarah Paulson also played 3 characters but Cordelia was clearly the lead.April 9, 2019 at 3:34 pm #1202846053
This is amazing. No idea where you have been the last few years, academy, but thank you for finally showing up! Not like this is the first time that American Horror Story has brought back characters, not to mention that American Vandal was done shooting its second season by the time of the Emmy nominations last year and The Sinner had starting shooting its second season. Those two never should have been allowed in limited or you could just say that the first season of anything should be allowed to compete there. We have of course known on Gold Derby for a while that The Sinner was getting bumped.
The problem with Apocalypse is not reprising characters, but the continuity of the storylines. It will be back in limited series next year regardless of if old characters come back.April 4, 2019 at 5:27 pm #1202840353
I rewatched BLL recently aswell, and I loved it as much as s1. It’s truly a masterpiece.
But, unlike with my first viewing, I understood why Nicole Kidman got all the praises over Reese. Reese owns the show for me (her character is the one I like the most), but Nicole definitely has the most “powerful” scenes, especially in the last episodes (while Reese has her daughter/guy at the theater drama storylines, which are not as stellar and as poignant as Nicole’s).
But I still think Shailene was NOT supporting, she definitely was lead.March 31, 2019 at 7:26 am #1202835131
It won’t happen, but The OA should be in consideration. It’s the most unique, creative and imaginative show out there.March 29, 2019 at 10:55 am #1202833586
Realistically, Sense8 won’t make the TV Movie lineup, but I’m still holding out hope for a surprise after that PGA nom. I mean I know the competition for that category was weak, BUT it would be a nice surprise to an excellent show that has gone too soon.
From your mouth to god’s ears.
Still mad at Netflix for this cancellation.
