If Emmys were tomorrow The Marvelous Mrs Maisel would win every awards in comedy categories and we would see the always same user throw a tantrum about it.February 19, 2019 at 2:35 am #1202781295
TMMM needs to give its awards to one day at a time, NOT poorly written The good placeFebruary 18, 2019 at 4:53 am #1202780236
I still don’t think old conservative voters will vote for a Netflix and Spanish movie. Green Book is winning.February 18, 2019 at 4:51 am #1202780234
Sarah Paulson was just playing Lana Winters again in Cult. Even herself didn’t like playing that character. And the whole season was pure trash.February 17, 2019 at 5:36 am #1202778973
Never gonna happen but I wouldn’t count out Paulson for King-esque upset. She’s never won for AHS before, she’s playing 4 different characters (including Cordellia Goode, a fan favourite & a previous nominated role) and Apocalypse has seen viewed by a lot of people as a return to form for the show.
Who ? Most people think the season was crap.

One Day At A Time, Justina Machado and Rita Moreno deserve nominations and wins. Sadly, it won’t happen.February 13, 2019 at 5:33 pm #1202775199
Hum Apple is rumored to present (or even launch ?) its streaming service in March. Maybe Jennifer Aniston/Reese Witherspoon show will premiere before deadline ?February 13, 2019 at 10:55 am #1202774707
I doubt Sandra Oh wins if Jodie is nominated. I actually think Jodie really should go to supporting, even if it’s “fraud”.February 13, 2019 at 5:17 am #1202774377
The Emmys need to acknowledge the CW more. I remember the first season of The Vampire Diaries, Riverdale and The Flash being really good. And the comedies are not even getting in too. Ugh.
Absolutely none of them deserved a nomination especially Riverdale with its awful writing and acting.
But it’s a crime that Jane The Virgin and Crazy Ex Girlfriend were snubbed.February 12, 2019 at 5:20 pm #1202773982
Paulson will sweep for RATCHED. She may be winning the big 5 yet again. Nicole and Reese will have zero chance against her, even though BLL is my darling of a show Sarah as nurse Ratched will be iconic, she taking on an Oscar-winning role. But I think Ratched is expected to bow in 2020. So Nicole can still win the Globe, which I doubt with Olivia eligible for The Crown.
I believe Ratched will premiere in fall, maybe in November once AHS is done airing.February 12, 2019 at 11:30 am #1202773641
I find it really ironic that you’re saying people here can’t see GOT backlash when I clearly remember you stanning THT Season 2 and denying any backlash whatsoever. Just to be clear, literally every Drama nominee last year was considered to have had a better season(s) in the past except for The Americans. Also, for argument sake, if The Crown turns out to be ineligible, who else could possibly win Drama Supporting Actress this year over a GOT lady? Like seriously I’m curious if there’s an actual realistic option because I can’t think of one. (I will admit if HBC is in then its a different discussion).
Jodie Comer if she goes supporting and Killing Eve s2 gets more buzz. But even that doesn’t seem likely.February 11, 2019 at 5:25 pm #1202772708
The way I see it what matters the most is the big prize, and this way they have great chances in both years. And also a fine chance in the other categories. BLL and GoT against each other would have hurt both, in all categories
There is absolutely no competition between BLL’s and GoT’s actresses tho. I understand that the strategy is having both of them winning Drama Series, but I don’t see BLL still being relevant enough in September 2020 to win, as amazing as s2 can be.February 11, 2019 at 5:09 pm #1202772697
I still think HBO is making a mistake for Big Little Lies. Nicole Kidman would have likely won, same for Meryl Streep. Next year, I’m not so sure. And even for the Golden Globes, I can see Ratched and Sarah Paulson winning.
