Y’all talking like the Academy is the one deciding anymore 😂. Haven’t u heard? It’s been the HFPA game for ages now. Portman losing had nothing to do with how much of an icon Jackie O was.November 18, 2019 at 1:29 pm #1203185399
It did flop, I just checked lol. Phew.November 18, 2019 at 1:21 pm #1203185377
I am worried to even see this movie. Everyone hates it. Literally everyone. It’s not like I didn’t expect it. Sad thing is it’s making tons of cash already and there for sure will be a sequel.November 18, 2019 at 1:02 pm #1203185348
I’m rofl! The Greeks’ accent and way of speaking in ep 4.. I can’t. I guess they couldn’t find Greek-speaking actors, but kudos to these ones that I guess learnt their lines by heart.November 18, 2019 at 9:08 am #1203185040
Renée Zellweger – Chicago > Nicole Kidman – The HoursNovember 18, 2019 at 7:59 am #1203184835
^It was fine. She was fine. She’s not undeniable for the Emmy, but she ofc wouldn’t make a bad winner.November 18, 2019 at 2:11 am #1203184327
^Okay, now I’m convinced. Theron is the Colman of this race only the suspense doesn’t go up until the Oscars but it’s just the Globes until we hear the name that wins the Drama Globe. Renée vs ScarJo is Glenn vs Gaga. Theron = Colman. I never thought Theron would win a 2nd Oscar so early.November 17, 2019 at 9:57 am #1203183308
^Only if he’s in 4 or less. If he’s in all 5, he’s supporting.November 17, 2019 at 8:52 am #1203183173
I’ve only watched ep 1 and I’m already stanning HBC. She’s such a marvelous actress. I hope she wins an Oscar one day.November 17, 2019 at 8:39 am #1203183152
Ford vs Ferrari opens $32 millions in US and $52 millions worldwide.
So glad for success of this original big budget movie. It deserves it.
Good. It was weird, cuz it blew up on imdb in amount of votes but the box office was reportedly not even 20m. It didn’t make sense lol. If it continues like that, it’s a lock now for nod in Picture, it may happen for director too.November 17, 2019 at 7:14 am #1203183066
I think Helen Hunt will get in as well – great point about Debra Messing and Candice Bergen being nominated for the first seasons of their respective reboots. Hunt won three of her six bids for the original run of “Mad About You.”
Messing got in for her second season, indeed along with Bergen, simply because the category was empty af, and the Globes dropped Rae as they usually drop people after 2 noms, wanting to revamp the category.
Hunt is a possibility, but the reboot looks awful and overall TV has changed. Those cringy funny in front of a live audience multi-cam comedies don’t do well anymore. People aren’t interested in them now. They want single-camera comedies that have realistic storylines, something they can relate to and not over the top comedic acting. And I’m saying this as a huge Friends fan. The category is stacked; I don’t see her returning, and that network it’s on.. what is it called again?November 17, 2019 at 4:42 am #1203182923
Disney+’s Noelle. I enjoyed it 😅. Fun Christmas movie, although I felt like the story wasn’t very rich and layered after all, even though it had a good message for women. Kendrick was great in the role.November 17, 2019 at 4:15 am #1203182913
But how can we know what they really like ? I mean “Breaking Bad” has only won Golden Globes for its last season. All seasons were not even nominated.
The Americans treatment.
I see that many users are not predicting Stranger Things. I’m aware that sometimes HFPA drop shows for no reason but Stranger Things really had a stellar third season.
Exactly. Stranger Things is definitely a possibility. Stronger than Killing Eve and Pose imo.
