I’d be genuinely shocked if Chastain won over Gaga and Kidman. Where is this narrative coming from?
From the narrative of SAG voters being so painfully basic that they will be enamoured with Chastain’s skin cancer patient makeup.
Sure, she could win, but she’s clearly distant third behind Kidman and GagaJanuary 22, 2022 at 12:52 pm #1204743827
The delusion about Chastain winning SAG, lol. Those SAG votes lost on her will look especially ridiculous, if she gets punched out of top 5 at the Oscars, since Chastain and Stewart seem to be the ones who can easily miss the final lineup.
Chastain stans here clearly have a problem with making a distinction between what will/can happen and what they want to happen, since she hasn’t had an Oscar nom for centuries.December 28, 2021 at 6:19 am #1204683048
mean nothing just your fave didn’t get nominate at LFCC. you all love history and pattern right? it’s all fun when your fave line up with trend and pattern for oscar win, but not if other do. btw, Ben Affleck Fan correct me. it’s 10 years actually.
Pipe down, ColdStew stan or you’ll start twitching and panting like Duchess Camila in Spencer.
If me posting stats is so unbearable for you, then maybe film awards seasons are not for youDecember 28, 2021 at 6:05 am #1204683020
I mean, that LFCC + AACTA combo and Cruz is fighting for the fifth spot. Go figureDecember 28, 2021 at 5:57 am #1204683012
Predicting Colman to win is also dumb. The only thing she has won so far is Gotham which has NYFCC members in it and they didn’t give her a win, even tho she never won there even with The Favourite.
Colman with her home turf advantage at BAFTA is making a lot of things complicated considering this new top 2 rule. Of course, she is gonna get tons of votes at BAFTA since she’s super beloved + British actors in acclaimed movies very rarely miss LFCC and Dublin Critics. This is basically a less blatant case of AACTA always showering their homegrown talent with votes and wins.
The Academy doesn’t entirely consist of everyone British, so if Colman loses trifecta, Globes, SAG, BFCA, it doesn’t make her win competitive, because BAFTA will mass vote for herDecember 28, 2021 at 5:19 am #1204682942
and almost all OSCAR winner get nominate at LFCC recently. so if your fave didn’t even get nominate. its really bad sign. NYFCC, LAFCA, NSFC, NBR and Volpi all has hit and miss. but LFCC never miss for the past 5 years.
5 years is nothing, when no actress has ever won in BA with no NBR, trifecta, festival awards or a BP nominee since Kathy Bates in MiseryDecember 28, 2021 at 4:23 am #1204682876
Spencer missed at the Globes. I mean it doesn’t automatically mean that Stewart is 100% losing, but it doesn’t look like they are big fans of the movie eitherDecember 28, 2021 at 3:08 am #1204682784
Globe – Chastain/Kidman/Gaga
SAG – Chastain vs Gaga
Critics Choice (it got postponed to March) – whoever wins Globe and SAG. Sure, Spencer made basic pundits who make up the entirety of BFCA feel like they are admirers of real art cinema, but do you really think their results on January 9 and in March after Globes and SAG reveal their winners would be the same? Please.
BAFTA – Scanlan vs Colman
Oscars – ???
Anyway, another exciting season with a split race is coming. But KStew stans are fooling themselves thinking that someone who has a zero passion to win NBR, NYFCC, LAFCA and (probably) NSFC will sweep all the televised precursors
McDormand (2020)- NSFC
Zellweger (2019) – NBR
Colman (2018) – LAFCA, NSFC
Stone (2017) – Volpi Cup and a BP frontrunner
Larson (2016) – NBR
Moore (2015) – NBR
Blanchett – NYFCC, LAFCA, NSFC
And etcDecember 17, 2021 at 12:21 pm #1204662857
Gaga was nominated here and there because of her win at the NYFCC, without that win, her track record would have been much much worse.
Coulda woulda shoulda.
She still won NYFCC and made sure to keep herself in the conversation with her individual raves and her movie’s box office performanceDecember 17, 2021 at 12:19 pm #1204662844
AACTA International 2022
Best Lead Actress
Penélope Cruz – “Parallel Mothers”
Lady Gaga – “House of Gucci”
Jennifer Hudson – “Respect”
Nicole Kidman – “Being the Ricardos”
Kristen Stewart – “Spe ncer”December 9, 2021 at 7:14 am #1204639732
A NYFCC winner certainly has as much chances to win as a Sasha Stone Critics Group winner for Best Camila Wig!December 9, 2021 at 7:10 am #1204639720
I mean, this is exactly why Gaga stans will keep being Gaga stans. How are you going to condemn tearing down people in order to boost others and then turn around and tear someone down? Get it together. The stan shit has to stop, but so do people outright ignoring Gaga. It’s one thing to not like her performance, it’s another to pretend like she doesn’t exist in this race. The professionalism and maturity has to go both ways.
Get them. ColdStew stans keep acting like harmless lambs who spent years putting a lace curtain on their heads twirling and pretending to be Bella marrying Edward unlike vile Gaga stans from PopCrave and yet that’s not what they showcase hereNot now
