BEST POP SOLO PERFORMANCE 1. thank u, next/7 rings by Ariana Grande 2. bad guy/when the party’s over by Billie Eilish 3. Someone You Loved by Lewis Capaldi 4. Without Me by Halsey 5. If I Can’t Have You by Shawn Mendes (6. Always Remember Us This Way by Lady Gaga) I think any of the nominees could win, IMO. I have Gaga as six because, while she’d be a slam dunk winner, I’m not sure if they even want to nominate her after winning big last year. BEST POP DUO/GROUP PERFORMANCE 1. Sucker by the Jonas Brothers 2. Señorita by Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello 3. I Don’t Care by Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber 4. Dancing with a Stranger by Sam Smith & Normani 5. Sunflower by Post Malone & Swae Lee 6. Hey Look Ma, I Made It! by Panic! at the Disco I’m assuming Old Town Road will be (rightfully) placed in Rap Sung, and even if it doesn’t, being a huge hit is not automatically going to get you in (see Perfect last year). I’ll need to see how Don’t Call Me Angel does, but given that Miley, Ariana, and Lana are all past Pop nominees, it could definitely get in. POP VOCAL ALBUM 1. WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? by Billie Eilish 2. thank u, next by Ariana Grande 3. No 6 Collaborations Project by Ed Sheeran 4. Hurts 2B Human by P!nk 5. Lover by Taylor Swift (6. Happiness Begins by the Jonas Brothers) I think the JoBros being such heavy contenders in Pop Duo could make them get into Pop Vocal, but that album just felt uneventful. It sold well, and it’s holding on to the top 10, but it’s produced no follow-up hit. They’re definitely fighting for the 5th spot with Taylor, but given her Grammy history, I don’t see her missing. Lover is a flop but it’s still a Taylor Swift project and will probably get decent reviews.
Depending on how Sam Smith performs commercially with his new single I would be ready to swap one of those Pop Solo predictions out for “How Do You Sleep?”July 23, 2019 at 7:40 am #1202991421
Your right again but……. TAYLOR SWIFT even with her lowest lyrical content like LWYMMD still managed to to tell a story with those lyrics that we all go the message from like little things like ” I’ll be the actress starring in your bad dreams” “But I got smarter, I got harder in the nick of time Honey, I rose up from the dead, I do it all the time” The reputation era was recovery of her going through stuff which I related to a didn’t even like taylor swift until then lol I respect little shit like that it connects to me in her writing that’s real.
Why is this even being brought up?July 19, 2019 at 5:33 pm #1202985828
What strong contenders do we have for MV?July 18, 2019 at 9:01 pm #1202984336

If the Señorita hype builds up much more than it will definitely get nominated in Pop Duo. As for Pop Vocal album it truly is between Ariana & Billie with the latter more likely to take it. However, come nomination day we’ll be able to see how voters will take in Billie and it will settle the score. Then in Pop Solo, Ariana can take it only IF she submits thank u, next.June 30, 2019 at 11:24 pm #1202957348
Lol just because he’s Ariana’s manager doesnt mean you have to come to his defense… Taylor is right. Scooter Braun and Big Machine represent what’s wrong with the male dominated music industry, where women take a backseat and their work gets taken advantage of. We’ve seen it with Kesha before and many other female artists. And it looks like even if you’re as big as Taylor it can happen to you. It’s clear her old label is retaliating against her for leaving it. If they wanted to sell her master, they know very well she can afford and should’ve given her the chance to buy it, rather than selling it to someone she had problems with. And there’s nothing that makes it clearer than his own repulsive story:
Please point to where I mentioned Ariana. Oh that’s right… I never did.June 30, 2019 at 9:21 pm #1202957247
Also those Swifties are crazy as fuck telling everyone to break into his house after leaking his home addressJune 30, 2019 at 9:20 pm #1202957244
From what I can gather the only evidence that Taylor has to back her up is speculation and accusations. Meanwhile, Team Scooter has their receipts ready proving that she had the opportunity to earn her masters but passed on it. Now it seems she’s twisting the narrative because she couldn’t have it the way she wanted and threw in more unnecessary and irrelevant info (such as Kim/Kanye) to help boost that story. What I think Taylor is failing to recognize is that at the end of the day it was a business move… not a revenge plot to spite her
