Can you link me to some of these mixed reviews. I’ve only seen Matt Ramos’. I’m really trying to lower my expectations, but everything I see is pretty positive.
The reactions are kind of mixed and the consensus seems to be that it’s not as good as the first one. Most probably just a tech player.
October 5, 2022 at 2:01 pm #1205108119Seen a couple of Blockbusters being mentioned here, but no one thinks Black Panther can repeat in Picture?
March 11, 2021 at 9:11 am #1204108369Who listened to ALL those albums or even 3/5 or even 2/5 in any combination and thought Bruno had the best is just baffling to me!
TPAB deserved. But at least 1989 wasn’t boring, whereas Morning Phase was just dreadfully mournful. BEYONCÉ deserved because it had what any white female would need to win, acclaim, sales, hits, and cultural relevant (it literally made surprise releases a thing, visual albums were revived, and hell even the global music release day change is sorta linked to it) Robbery at its finest.
I won’t even go into Lemonade because the Grammys knew what they did with that. Also, eww at Purpose and Views over Anti.
March 7, 2021 at 9:31 am #1204089932I’m still not sure how 1000s of people thought Babel was the best album there when it was literally the worst… Frank absolutely was robbed.
And RAM was a breath of fresh air as a winner, even though I would’ve voted Kendrick or Taylor.
March 6, 2021 at 2:43 am #1204087363There was literally no way any of the other nominees even thought they would win this.
Literally only Kanye being nominated here would’ve made people think anyone other than Adele would’ve won, but alas.. Grammys hate Rap.
March 4, 2021 at 1:46 am #1204081464As much as I appreciate The Suburbs…. I would’ve probably given it to Recovery or The Fame Monster.
March 3, 2021 at 4:56 am #1204079334I guess Taylor winning THAT year wasn’t the worst thing that had happened.. Plus, from the poor lineup, it was simply the best. (Even though I would’ve voted The Fame)
February 4, 2021 at 6:33 am #1204020227Not the “If God didn’t want me to be a bigot, why did he show me how to be one” argument … I-
Wow.. I was cackling for 5 pages straight… Some people are seriously disgusting.
Anyway, so… The Grammys, right
September 24, 2020 at 3:32 pm #1203732493To be honest, P-Valley is wishful thinking, but damn… I wish more people saw it, so it could actually get some noms anywhere.
June 23, 2020 at 3:28 am #12035473341. Dua Lipa – Future Nostalgia
2. Run the Jewels- RTJ4
3. ChloexHalle – Ungodly Hour
4. 070 Shake – Modus Vivendi
5. Lady Gaga – Chromatica
6. Rina Sawayama – Sawayama
7. Kehlani – It Was Good Until It Wasn’t
8. The 1975 – Notes on a conditional form
9. Conan Grey – Kid Crow
10. The Weeknd – After Hours
May 8, 2020 at 4:40 am #1203471009The first half of Kehlani’s new album is pretty good. But the second half drags. It became a chore. My favorite tracks: “Can I”, “Bad News”, “Water”, “Change Your Life”
Eish. Idk about that. . Everybody’s Business, Serial Lover, Open, Grieving are pretty good. .
ReplyMarch 27, 2020 at 2:30 pm #1203397428I dont think either of them will win… but I do think both will get nods.
ReplyMarch 27, 2020 at 12:32 pm #1203397309How many first week sales did Album of the Year winner Golden Hour have?? How many hit singles? The Grammys will pick what appeals to them… regardless of sales/acclaim.
I think this album might be up their alley. Probably a nod at best though.
