Here’s my opinion for the music we have received so far:
Adele: She is getting nominated across the board and in country as well. She has the alphabet advantage and 30 has more of a broad genre appeal than her previous works. And the fact that she’s Adele. 30 is the frontrunner and she will sweep again.
Harry: Harry is getting nominated if the album has a good critical appeal to it. But I don’t see him winning any of the general field or even being a threat to Adele. Adele can easily take all the pop votes and rock votes to leave Harry and other nominees with a minor share of this voting group.
Ed: I don’t see Ed getting AOTY nom. It’s too soon to lock him in this category. We have a lot of other albums which might make it above Ed.
Encanto: Encanto is getting nominated off the board and We Don’t Talk About Bruno is winning BPDGP.
Silk Sonic: They won SOTY and ROTY. They won’t be winning next year. Their album isn’t that impactful when compared to 30.
Brandi: If she doesn’t get nominated, it will be a huge mess. People only talk about Beyoncé being overdue for AOTY but so is Brandi.
The Weeknd: He will get nominated if he submits. I doubt that he will submit though.
Taylor: Her statement last year mentioned Fearless (TV) not being submitted anywhere and we all know how smart Taylor is with her words. Red (TV) is getting nominated everywhere else. So, I do think she’ll submit the vault tracks. If she does, I could see All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault) winning SOTY and ROTY.
Here’s my list so far:
(adding Taylor because I think she’ll submit the tracks)

November 26, 2021 at 12:26 am #1204607262It was wrong of NY TIMES as well to publicly bring out this. They used Taylor’s name in headline to juice the news. They could have said that 2 names were added on the last day without bringing up the names. Or they could have used SOTY, ROTY, BNA names but they used Taylor’s

November 24, 2021 at 3:44 am #1204602907If there was another country album to replace literally any other album, I’d never say that Taylor could win. But this line up brings
Tony/Billie/Olivia/Taylor
November 24, 2021 at 2:31 am #1204602833I’d love to see Swift answer the same question.
People forget that Swift has admitted to her faults in her songs quite often
November 24, 2021 at 12:16 am #1204602693She won last ceremony with an unapologetic set up, why lie? no The Weeknd, Fiona, Harry, Phoebe etc… Good for her tho
I remember some of you saying that Dua will block Taylor. And @epiphany meant something else.
November 23, 2021 at 9:42 pm #1204602520I’m not ready for Liv’s speech. She’ll be a wreck.
Imagine Taylor standing behind her. It will be like an enactment of NOTHING NEW
November 23, 2021 at 9:35 pm #1204602512lol did you see the size of those hands? lord give me the strength
Yes… My lazy ass started twerking seeing those 😅
ReplyNovember 23, 2021 at 9:30 pm #1204602503Why I think that she has a campaign planned because that Champagne Problems video is around 2-4 weeks old. And she did not post that until now. And then she went to Long Pond Studio to record All Too Well only. These hints are too much for us to expect that she is bringing something. Taylor is way too smart to miss out on this opportunity.
And I may think twice before stating that she is a threat when the committee was involved. But she made it with a straight vote. And Evermore is a grammy-worthy album among the list.
ReplyNovember 23, 2021 at 9:23 pm #1204602487I really hope Sour wins. I can just picture it being such a nice moment to cap one of the greatest debut years in recent memory and recognition for a phenomenal and deeply honest album.
Amen to that
November 23, 2021 at 9:22 pm #1204602484btw I might be too drunk to care about Miles Teller being anti-vaxx but I want that man to marry me, destroy me and discard me next to a dumpster. is that too much?
I had the same thought 😅
ReplyNovember 23, 2021 at 9:21 pm #1204602482But just between us Swifties, do you honestly think Taylor will lose if she campaigns properly?
