My dream is to see Janelle James, Sheryl Lee Ralph and Lisa Ann Walter all get Supporting Actress noms. These three performances were nothing short of perfection on Abbott Elementary. The comedy, the perfect line deliveries, the pathos – the full on inhabiting of their characters. Just sublime.

The Gaslit premiere was fantastic. The production design, costuming and make-up were top notch. The dialogue is incredibly sharp and there are many, many surprisingly hilarious moments.

The best part was the cast. Sean Penn, Betty Gilpin and Hamish Linklater were fantastic but it is Julia Roberts and Shea Whigham who really stole the show. And the chemistry between Roberts and Penn is electric.

I agree with the statements above, Starz needs to promote the hell out of Gaslit because, judging from the first episode alone, it should be in the conversation.

I’m half-way through The Dropout. Although there is something amiss with the tone and it’s quite pedestrian and by the numbers in it’s story-telling, Amanda Seyfried cannot be denied. She is sensational as Elizabeth Holmes. Showcasing so much depth and substance while not for one second making the sociopath sympathetic. Stephen Fry also does some nice work here. It’s a B- mini-series so far with an A+ and dare I say potentially Emmy winning performance from Seyfried.
