6th: You need to calm down
Old Town Road
Dancing with a stranger
6th: High Hopes (live)
Lana del Rey
6th: Jonas BrothersOctober 22, 2019 at 4:38 pm #1203148224
AMAs eligibility period is from April 1, 2018 to March 31st, 2019.
Jonas Brothers and Taylor Swift are not happening. Also Billie might miss considering her album wouldn’t have had its full run.
That’s a lie. That’s the eligibility period for the Billboard Awards.
The eligility period of the AMA’s ends around July or August. Last year it probably ended in July because the Awards were in October.
In 2010 Teenage Dream (released in August) was nominated for the 2010 AMA’s
Ariana missed last year because there were 3 females that were bigger than her: Taylor, Camila and Cardi and there are only 3 nominees in each category.October 21, 2019 at 5:21 am #1203145537
LMFAOOOOOO Pop Crave (from twitter) updated their predictions and it’s still trash. They put Rosalía’s album as a underdog for Pop Vocal .
Rosalia’s album is not even in that category
It’s submitted in the Best Latin Alternative/Rock/Urban album categoryOctober 20, 2019 at 4:24 pm #1203145178
I rewatched Cellophane today and, wow, if that song loses Best Music Video I will be rioting.
Since Boom Boom Pow won this category has become too mainstream
Boom Boom Pow

Robyn should be already a multiple Grammy winner
First she was robbed by Rihanna, then robbed by Skrillex and now robbed by the Screening Panel. A nightmare.October 19, 2019 at 5:06 am #1203143460
Do y’all think Robyn will finally win her much deserved Grammy? Can she sneak into AOTY?
I don’t know why she was placed in Pop Album but last year Cher was submitted in the Best Dance Electronic album category. Cher’s album Dancing Queen was more Pop than Honey.
It seems like this year they wanted to submit everything in pop: The 1975, Lana, Robyn. Acclaimed albums that sadly could be snubbed against a panned successful Ed Sheeran shitty collaborations album.October 17, 2019 at 5:21 pm #1203141813
The 1975 kinda got fucked over by the screening panel this year . Kinda sucks :/
I just don’t understand why aren’t they on the Alternative category where they belong but they let fucking GOTYE to win Alternative album in 2013 against Fiona Apple.
They also have been ruinning Lana’s chances for years placing her music in PopOctober 17, 2019 at 12:03 pm #1203141467
Think it will depend on what they end up leading towards. Female will likely be between Billie Eilish (up to 7), Lady Gaga (up to 7), Lizzo (up to 7). Male will likely be between Anderson .Paak (up to 5), Jonas Brothers (up to 6), Khalid (up to 6), Bruce Springsteen (up to 6), Gary Clark Jr (up to 6), Jack Antonoff or Finneas (as producer credit). Let me know if I’m missing an obvious one…
Lady Gaga getting 7 nominations? I doubt it
At best she’s getting AOTY, Pop Solo, Soundtrack album and Song Visual Media. Maybe 5 if they buy that category fraud in Pop Duo perf.October 16, 2019 at 8:04 am #1203139307
Ugh. Ariana is gonna ruin Good as hell
She’s gonna find the way to make it sound like a tun rejectOctober 14, 2019 at 6:08 am #1203135688
It would be much better if you post the gifs without showing his face.October 14, 2019 at 6:04 am #1203135680
But at this time last year Bradley had the most buzz and almost everyone in the forums agreed he was the undeniable frontrunner, so saying Driver is the Cooper of this year but also saying he has less buzz than Phoenix doesn’t make sense.
Driver is #1 on Goldderby predictions right now just like Cooper was #1 on Goldderby predictions at this time of the year.
Joaquin will probably go #1 on the predictions after/if he wins the Globe.
Let’s not forget that Cooper was Goldderby’s fave just like Driver is Goldderby’s fave this year. Goldderby is pushing really hard for Marriage Story.October 14, 2019 at 5:41 am #1203135662
Could Lana pull a Beck/Gaga’s Joanne in Pop solo?
I was thinking that maybe Norman Fucking Rockwell (song) could get a Pop solo WTF random nomination.October 11, 2019 at 6:29 am #1203131897
Someone You Loved is coming for that #1.
What sucks though is that most #1s this year were radio fueled. Billboard really needs to reduce its weight.
Not really. Travis will be #1 next week thanks to streaming
OTR was #1 for 19 weeks thanks to streaming
Bad Guy peaked higher in Streaming Songs than Radio songs
When Sucker went to #1 it was #1 and sales and streams
Even Without Me the biggest radio hit of the year had great streams when it went #1
Of all the #1 of the year Shallow was the only one that didn’t go at least top 5 on streams but it had big sales.
Also I doubt SYL will go #1. It will probably peak at #2 and it will have great longevity.
