Hi, My name is Jordan DePaola! I am an aspiring writer, storyteller, director, producer, show runner, musician, and occasional actor. I love movies, TV, and music. I am not a simple person but like to think that I am. I love movies and especially going to the movies. The idea of going to the movies is the only thing that gets me through the week. I love watching TV and do it as much as I can. I am a member of the binge-watching era of television. The one thing you will know about is that I am a super huge mega fan of "The Golden Girls." I think "The Golden Girls" is God's greatest gift to television. I rarely go a day without watching at least episode of "The Golden Girls." I am a huge fan of Estelle Getty, Rue MacClanhan, Bea Arthur, Betty White, and of course Susan Harris. I love to write stories because I feel that is the key way to express myself. I also love music. I love every single type of music because I feel if I end up listening to a song enough I will end of loving it. As you can see my personality is a lot and I refuse to be boxed-in or categorized as an individual. I feel society wants to limit or label people some big generalization. I play the Viola and feel it is a vital part of my personality. The viola is different and similar to all the other musical instruments and that is just how I am. I love playing the viola because it gives me something to focus on. I sometimes get to preoccupied with life and slack off from playing it but still love it. Playing the viola is an important part of who I am. My favorite move of all time (for right now) is "An Education" starring Carey Mulligan. I heavily identified with the protagonists Jenny. I felt for Jenny when she was frustrated with the way society is structured and not able to be truly understood by people. This movie had an impact on me because it made me realized I was not alone in any capacity. It was the first time I felt truly connected with the characters frustrations, curiosity, and vulnerability. I also love "Gilmore Girls" and found it to be a genius among television. The only thing that I did not like about "Gilmore Girls" was simply that the show ended. After watching the series finale, I felt extremely hungry for more episodes and storylines. Amy-Sherman Palladino and Daniel Palladino are geniuses in my mind. The usage of the rapid-fire dialogue and the unique comedy-drama storytelling really appealed to me. I am also an avid fan of professional wrestling and think that it is an "Art" form not a sport. I became a wrestling fan at the age of 6 and have been hooked ever since. Although at times it can get really boring I still keep up with it because it was a huge part of my childhood. My favorite wrestlers of all time are Kurt Angle, Rey Mysterio, and Mickie James. In the WWE today my favorite wrestler are "The Miz, Natalya, and Paige." I feel my love for professional wrestling shows my determination, willingness, and eagerness to put on a show. That leads me to my next point which is that I love to perform. I love making people laugh and making there day. I hope to one day be a part-time amateur stand-up comic. I absolutely love comedy. I love Black Comedy and Shock Comedy the most. I feel my comic style has been heavily influenced by Ellen DeGeneres, Joan Rivers, Ricky Gervais, Chris Rock, Kevin Hart, Tina Fey, and Amy Poehler. I think all of these individuals are comedic gods. I love watching there stand ups all the time. It is so hilarious and original. I feel comedy was God's way of providing a non-harming drug that will help us get through life. I know that sounds gauche but I honestly think it is. I cannot get enough of it and need it all the time. My life at times can be extremely complicated, but my biggest escape is comedy. Whenever life has a large bump in the road, I immediately go the TV to watch some of my favorite comedy series. This is my escape and it helps me get my mind off of the many stressors that come with life. I love binge-watching the following comedy series; Roseanne, Two and a Half Men, Maude, Murphy Brown, Seinfeld, Gilmore Girls, Boston Legal, Family Guy, American Dad, and of course The Golden Girls (Duh!!). These shows help me get through life and keep moving forward with a smile on my face. I am also a frequent binge-watcher of the following dramatic series; The Sopranos, The Newsroom, The Good Wife, The X-Files, House of Cards, Nurse Jackie, and Game of Thrones. That list will definitely continue to grow because there is so much great television from the past, present, and future out there. I am also a huge animal lover. The greatest gift that I ever received in my life was my dog, Fluffy. Fluffy is my 12-year old shitzu-poddle mix that I call my son. I have had him for 12 years now and our bond can never be broken. Fluffy loves me and I love him and I could not make it through life without his love. He provides me with unconditional love. I love animals and think that one day I will end up having at least 100 different types of animals. I also like to exercise. I get really frustrated with it though because as anyone would know it is not as easy as it looks. I like to exercise but am not willing to put forth enough effort to be in insane shape. Maybe one day I will finally look like a Fitness Model. I am also extremely Liberal. I feel that being Liberal is really a vital part about me. I am a liberal because I feel everyone should have an equal opportunity and equal advantages in life. To be honest I do not really know about economics to really decide on a political part. I am open-minded to the idea of either one being for me. I chose the Liberal or left side because of what it stands for socially and environmentally. Socially I fully support equality and equal opportunity for individuals. Now I know this information section was about my professional side but I have not be able to mold a professional side yet. I will say this about myself I am an extremely hard worker, eager to learn, and will always be professional in every situation. I feel like getting to know me will help you better understand me. I am life loving and living individual. I love everything about life even though I constantly question it. I at times can take life for granted but try hard to not having any regrets. Thank you so much for reading!
