Fuck it, I’m predicting EEAAO in most everything idc
March 3, 2023 at 9:42 am #1205330515Using the term “woke” is just a replacement for a slur at this point
March 2, 2023 at 8:41 am #1205329039manifesting a tie between Yeoh and Blanchett sooo badly
Half of me hates the idea of a tie, other half of me would absolutely LIVE for it
February 20, 2023 at 10:10 am #1205311037I feel like Angela is still winning. If we look at the past few year’s Supporting Actress winners, the winners have more similarities to Angela rather than Kerry.
I would say the last Kerry-style person to win here was Alicia Vikander… but she had 2 big movies that she shined in that year, AND it was also category fraud. I still think Kerry’s #2, but I don’t think she wins here over Angela based on Supporting Actress history.
It seems like a category where they typically always recognize a name over a newcomer. Lupita & Jennifer H. were also newcomer wins here, but their performances were way more undeniable & they were sweeping.
February 20, 2023 at 10:02 am #1205311026I do think All Quiet is the perfect alternative to Everything.
Tar is too high brow
How is “Tar” too high brow, but “All Quiet” isn’t??? It’s literally high brow awards bait & a previous BP winner
February 20, 2023 at 9:52 am #1205311012Streep & McDormand would actually be a fabulous choice.
But… I wouldn’t be shocked if they picked Chris Rock, lol
ReplyFebruary 18, 2023 at 12:51 pm #1205307599EEAAO is winning BP & Director & maybe even Screenplay
IMO, Banshees & Tar are going to split votes… same with Elvis & Top Gun
January 24, 2023 at 6:10 am #1205261530The Oscars have a Best Actress problem.
January 24, 2023 at 5:54 am #1205261114I’m sad for Danielle
January 20, 2023 at 7:57 am #1205254971At this point the win for me is Gaga getting IN so she can attend & perform lol
January 19, 2023 at 10:15 am #1205253676To me it seems fairly clear that this is the likely BP lineup
1. Everything Everywhere All at Once
2. Elvis
3. Top Gun: Maverick
4. The Banshees of Inisherin
5. The Fabelmans
6. TAR
7. All Quiet on the Western Front
8. Avatar: The Way of Water
9. The Whale
10. Triangle of SadnessI wonder if we will have TWO international film directors in Best Director this year. I could see Berger and Park both making it in… at who’s expense I’m not quite yet sure.
January 19, 2023 at 10:06 am #1205253643Are we all set to have the most perfect Best Actress Oscar lineup since 2006?
I would say yes if “Blonde” weren’t such a terrible movie
January 19, 2023 at 4:28 am #1205252554Michelle Williams is not getting the #1 votes she needs
January 19, 2023 at 4:23 am #12052525131. Cate Blanchett
2. Michelle Yeoh
3. Viola Davis
4. Danielle Deadwyler
5. Ana de ArmasAnd I still think a surprise nomination is more likely here than Michelle Williams getting in at this point. It’s just not a lead performance voters are going to be passionate about.
