I’ve been sticking with Angela since the nominations and I’m gonna keep sticking with her until the end. But had she not been nominated, I’d go with Stephanie Hsu. Unfortunately, I have a feeling they’ll go with either Kerry or Jamie Lee (mostly Kerry).

I agree with everything you said. People used to care about the VMAs when they weren’t fan voted except for one (Viewer’s Choice). You’d be surprised on who would get a VMA. For example:
1999 VMA for Video of the Year nominees:
* Lauryn Hill (Doo Wop That Thing)
* Korn (Freak on a Leash)
* BSB (I Want it That Way)
* Ricky Martin (Livin la Vida Loca)
* Will Smith (Wild Wild West)

Lauryn Hill won that year. I can guarantee you had it been fan voted like it is now, BSB or Ricky Martin would’ve won.

Now, the VMAs are a cheap predictable joke. With all the awards being fan voted (unless they’re tech), everyone knows who’ll win. No point in any actual celebrities showing up like before. That’s why you have influencers & SM stars there.

Had the secret committee not been outed a while back, both this and last year’s winners would’ve looked a whole lot different.

Last year: Tony, Billie, Olivia, or Taylor would’ve won AOTY instead of Jon; Olivia might’ve swept the Big Four; Tony/Gaga would’ve won Pop Duo/Group instead of Doja/SZA; Billie would’ve won at least one Grammy

This year: Adele would’ve won all of her categories except maybe one & not the other way around; Mary would’ve won something in the R&B field; Jack Harlow could’ve won a rap award; ABBA would’ve won Pop Duo/Group instead of Sam/Kim
