November 23, 2021 at 5:02 pm #1204601800I’m very disappointed in myself because a couple of hours before the nominations I switched Doja Cat out for Chris Stapleton thinking country/americana may have more representation in the GF but surprisingly it didn’t. 💀 For my first time predicting Grammy nominations though, I will say that I’ve learned a whole lot and I’m actually happy with my #141 spot on the Leaderboards!
Congrats, as a side note to @lipabridgerstwigs, @kai, @boz, @treacherous, @babygirl and many more who made the top spots!!💫

November 23, 2021 at 4:32 pm #1204601705Pop Solo Performance
– Should win: “Positions” by Ariana Grande. Not only is it one of her best songs yet, but at the end you can hear her unique whistle register which goes great with the song. If there’s a category that should reward excellence in a pop solo recording it’s this one, and I believe Ariana deserves.
– Will win: “Drivers License” by Olivia Rodrigo. Don’t think this needs further explaining. I might change my mind here, though.
– Could win: “Right On Time” by Brandi Carlile. Her performance here is truly outstanding and the song is beautiful so it’d also be nice to see her win. I’m unsure about who voters might be more inclined to vote for since she’s not really a popstar, but maybe that’s precisely why they might want to give her the Grammy.Pop Duo/Group performance
– Should win: “I Get A Kick Out Of You” by Lady Gaga & Tony Bennett. Gaga has a commendable versatility and control when it comes to her vocals and this duet with Tony Bennett at his 95 years of age just feels pretty natural even with all the circumstances.
– Will win: “I Get A Kick Out Of You” by Lady Gaga & Tony Bennett.
– Could win: “Kiss Me More” by Doja Cat & SZA. This is yet another year-defining song by two amazing women long overdue for a Grammy which also happens to sound great, but I’m not entirely convinced that either’s performance will be enough to earn them the gold.Traditional Pop Vocal Album
– Should win: Ledisi Sings Nina by Ledisi. Please, those vocals are just incredible. And the fact that this is a tribute to the one and only Nina Simone is all the more reason why I think Ledisi truly deserves.
– Will win: Love For Sale by Lady Gaga & Tony Bennett. Also nominated for Album of the Year, this album will easily garner the most support from voters.
– Could win: That’s Life by Willie Nelson. Solely because there’s already precedent of Willie winning over a Tony Bennet collab album. This album is not bad at all but it’s hardly beating the more obvious choice that has a much bigger narrative and was nominated across the board.Pop Vocal Album
– Should win: Happier Than Ever by Billie Eilish. Maybe I’m just biased for liking this album better of the 5 nominees, but I do find it significantly richer and more colorful lyrically and sonically.
– Will win: Sour by Olivia Rodrigo. It’s a pretty decent album that was everywhere this year, kind of like Future Nostalgia last year.
– Could win: Happier Than Ever by Billie Eilish.FYC: 64th Annual GRAMMY AwardsReplyBillie Eilish: Record Of The Year, Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Pop Vocal Album

November 19, 2021 at 8:26 am #1204588765“Love Is A Game” is officially my favorite Adele song. The lyrics hit really hard. I didn’t expect an Adele album to be this good, it’s beautiful and haunting. Give her that 2023 Album Of The Year Grammy already!

October 29, 2021 at 12:03 pm #1204547339In all seriousness, has any artist ever milked an album like this? This is the THIRD year in a row a version of this album gets submitted.
Though hardly comparable, this is kind of hilariously reminiscent of The Lion King: The Gift and to some extent, A Star Is Born Soundtrack.

October 27, 2021 at 5:00 pm #1204543707They need to rename Best New Artist Best Breakthrough Artist, then their bs reasonings would be a bit better justified
It’s just the category name, I think they do use the term “breakthrough” in the guidelines.

October 24, 2021 at 10:49 pm #1204537344I’m angry at Dua’s team for not entering “We’re Good” for Pop Solo and BMV. She didn’t stand many chances but her label’s choices only killed them if anything. If she’s very lucky she may only get in Music Film and Pop Duo.
