Sorry yes I meant I wouldn’t nominate anyone other than Dowd, Moss and Strahovski not just Dowd as I see that might have read as (Moss I would nominate for the premiere alone)
Not Mckenna Grace in Guest?
ReplyMarch 24, 2023 at 9:55 pm #1205363151I haven’t commented on this forum for years but I just hopped in to say: what the fuck is this category? How is the unethical Dahmer show the favorite to WIN? How did we go from The Queen’s Gambit, Mare of Easttown and Underground Railroad in one year to… this
This category is very fluctuating in terms of quality each year. Last year was weak too.
ReplyMarch 22, 2023 at 3:43 pm #1205360465Yes. Zazie Beetz was eligible for Guest for Atlanta s3 and FX still submitted her in Supporting for example.
And Netflix did the same with Josh O’Connor in The Crown season 3, which actually backfired cause he wasn’t nominated in Supporting, while a nomination in Guest would have been a lock I think.
ReplyFebruary 17, 2023 at 6:04 pm #1205307146Does anyone else think The Last of Us can beat Succession? It’s being a cultural phenomenon right now, at least I see everyone talking about it every week, and the quality is there too.
Besides Succession has already won 2 Drama Series Emmys, maybe the Academy decides to reward something else. They can still give it another win for season 5 if they wanted to.
February 14, 2023 at 10:00 am #1205303376I don’t disagree but I don’t really see Ramsey winning tbh. Girl is 14 years old. But what do I know atp?
She is 19.
February 2, 2023 at 10:39 am #1205281016They are 34K now, it is really sickening. Why the game community (or at least big part of it) is so horrible? I am really perplexed.
Gamers tend to be right wing, it’s nothing new. There’s always outrage when games have LGBT and POC representation. A little more than a decade ago they even complained if the protagonist of a game was a woman, and sometimes they still do, like in Battlefield V, which was released in 2018.
ReplyJanuary 23, 2023 at 3:30 pm #1205259653Nico Parker on episode 1 Anna Torv and Christine Hakim on episode 2 The Last of Us is really dominating guest categories I’m afraid.
As it should, not like all the filler Guest nominations for Succession last year…

Can you stop with the cringe?
ReplyJanuary 8, 2023 at 12:17 pm #1205227249I’m so excited at this prospect, do we have any idea if Season 1 will cover the entire first game or will it be multiple seasons as well?
Season 1 covers the entire first game, and then the second game will be adapted in two seasons. Apparently there will be only 3 seasons, unless a third game is released. In that case they will adapt it too.
ReplyDecember 24, 2022 at 3:12 pm #1205208853Wiley hardly had any screentime this season. I can see everyone getting snubbed besides Strahovski, and even she is vulnerable. Or maybe Whitford can get in.
Wiley had nothing to do in season 3 and she got nominated anyway. I’m not saying she’ll be nominated this year, but it’s possible.
December 20, 2022 at 2:11 pm #1205203182It’s interesting they’ve done it mid-cycle. (I suspect they could see the writing on the wall of something like every last member of The White Lotus being nominated)
They were all deserving though.
ReplyNovember 25, 2022 at 7:16 pm #1205166850Lesley Manville
, Kirby flashbacks
I can definitely say that Margaret has the best performers to it’s character. Manville ate her scenes on Episode 4 and should be nominated everywhere.
I wasn’t expecting to like her performance that much, she deserves every nomination she can get.
ReplyNovember 16, 2022 at 2:27 pm #1205156765I like Debicki in Supporting. I just finished episode 5 and I was thinking that she didn’t feel like a lead, she barely appeared in 3, 4 and 5, and it doesn’t look like she will appear much in 6. Meanwhile Dominic West is having much more screen time and focus.
P.S. I hate Jonathan Pryce’s acting in this. #NotMyPhilip
November 15, 2022 at 4:11 pm #1205155002It’s SO funny how this user ALWAYS forgets to add the Handmaid’s Tale people in their rant, like Moss is white, Strahovski is white. You can’t really be using Fagbenle as a token for that show when your USERNAME is based on the lead white woman (a scientologist nonetheless) LOL
But The Handmaid’s Tale is inclusive though. Besides Fagbenle, Samira Wiley, Amanda Brugel and Ashleigh LaThrop (season 3) are POC too. It has LGBT characters as well.
November 8, 2022 at 12:56 pm #1205145712I don’t know, I think this strategy makes sense right now. Despite the recast, Rhaenyra is still arguably the protagonist of this story, Emma D’Arcy has a great submission in the finale
But doesn’t Milly Alcock have more screen time than D’Arcy? I haven’t watched the series yet but I thought she appeared in more episodes than D’Arcy.
